Do you own guns you have NEVER fired?

Several right now. I hope that will change in the next year or two. I just haven't had the time or the money to shoot them all.

I would counter by saying that if you have guns that you have not fired then you either have too many guns or you have safe queens.

My range is my back yard. My new guns generally don't make it inside their new home before they are shot.

1. One can never own too many guns; you should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting it.

2. I don't like the sound of "safe queen" at all--just retyping it makes me uncomfortable.

3. My range is not my backyard, at least not until I decide a night in jail is something I want to try.

No! I shoot every weapon I have, I have some I don't own, at least monthly. Why own a handgun or a rifle if you don't use it on the range

Because:

1. Firing each of them JUST ONCE would cost me $500.00. (slight exageration, but not much)

2. All of them won't fit in my truck. They barely fit in my house.

3. Cleaning all of them after that one round would take a month, and I have a job.

I have five guns I've never fired.

One is probably too unsafe to shoot, but it has sentimental value, so I'll keep it.

Two need checking out to make sure they're safe to shoot first. I'll do that when I have some spare funds. Both use pricey ammo (.25acp & .32 s&w long) so they won't get fired very often.

Two I just never had the time to go try out (9mm & .380acp). I have a little ammo for each of them but now I hesitate to use it, since I don't know if I can replace it any time soon. Think I'll just sit on them (figuratively speaking) a little while longer.

1969 Winchester 94 30-30 unfired NIB

I have one as well--Sat for 7 years unfired after I bought it from a widow (her husband never fired it; bought it new in 1969). Took a nice freezer doe with it last year @ 170 paces standing, great nastalgia hunt. Blind luck for an old fart like me, but it does make the point that you HAVE to shoot that gun.

I must admit that I do. I have a NIB 1960's manufacture H&R Sportsman 999. Being that I have another that is a shooter, I just cannot bring myself to do it.

I have a few I have never fired, a couple that are very old and I can't find ammo for and would be scared to fire if I did. I also have a fairly rare Springfield 03 made by Remington that has never been fired that was made in 12/41 and last is a 1st generation Colt Peacemaker, that one I shot 12 times about 10 years ago just so I can say I shot a real cowboy gun and have not fired it since.

I have not shot my Mosin-nagant yet. I've had it for a few months. I have shot my friend's, though.

non

Oh yeah, more than I;d like to think about, some new pistolas, and a lot of antiques and milsurp collectors, some I've shot, but very few, all are functional, just never found the need to shoot every one of them, Don't have that much life left in me to clean them
:what:

I only have had one gun that I never fired. I bought this Zabbala double barrel 10 ga , I got a real good deal on the gun. It just sat in the gun case, so I sold it to my father-inlaw and made a good profit on the gun. I got a chance to go shoot some clays with it shortly after I sold it
