My LCP is a post-recall model. So...I'm assuming that it has the bugs fixed. Question: Do you feel it is safe to carry the post-recall LCP with one in the chamber? ( Is it now "drop safe"?)

Look at it this way: it was as safe as a Kel-Tec before they recalled it. :)

One in the chamber for me, both before and after the fix.

Unless your Israeli and have been trained to do so, not carrying one in the chamber is a needless delay. MICHAEL T is correct if I didn't feel safe doing it I would not own it.

I felt safe with it before the recall, Being the exact part that ruger replaced is in the kel tec until 4 months ago, did you owners of those 300,000 kt's feel unsafe, even though IMO they probably have the same drop safe issues as the Ruger did. I know I felt safe with the kt's. The way u decide to carry is anindivudual choice but certainly if you do not feel safe carrying a particual gun, then IMO you should peddle it. confidence is a priority also to reliability..

I, too, feel totally safe in carrying the LCP with one in the chamber PROVIDED that you have a pocket holster with the trigger covered. I carry in a Nemesis pocket holster and it stays in place when the LCP is drawn. I wouldn't carry anything else in that pocket, particularly a pocket knife as I guess it is always possible that it could act as a trigger finger although highly unlikely. The recall was over dropping the gun, which I've never done but there is always the first time. The trigger travel on the LCP is long enough that it would almost have to be intentional to squeeze off a round.

Happy Shootin'
