Do your local wal-mart shelfs look similar?

Just at wal-mart tonight with the girlfriend, while she was looking around I took my customary stroll through the sporting goods department to check the ammo status. I was somehow not surprised to find the shelfs bare boned as usual. As you can see in the picture there was SLIGHTLY some ammo, Are your guys wally worlds shelfs this bad? Or better?

Yeah man, I recently got a ruger 10/22, Just so I could shoot .22 because its always in stock with bulk packs (or so I thought) they are selling little boxes of 50 rds "thunderbolt" ammo for like 3.75$ :(

Your Walmart at least has space for lots of ammo. Mine has about 1/4 of the shelf space in that pic, and its mostly empty. Just some .270 and 30-30. I've never seen this fabled .22 bulk pack... :(

I'm starting to grow very fond of Academy.

I have three in driving distance of my office and they all have looked like this for most of this year. Just pathetic.

I guess I will have to drive 25 min. to the nearest academy sports. They are getting in more ammunition then walmart, and the prices are just as cheap.

My wal-mart has that much space, and less ammo.:( And mine doesnt sell the guns anymore. Even bigger:(:(:(

I completely gave up on wallyworld and DO NOT intend to shop there again for ammo/guns...

I went to my shooting range / store and bought 4 boxes of .45 ACP reloads. Found a small backwoods ammo dump store, and bought a couple boxes of magtech goldot +p for HD...

I am done with this crap!

Hey... I'm surprised your WalMart still sells guns! None of our WalMart store do in AZ. But yah... I went in today to get some ammo and all they had was .45 cal high end 230 grain silver dot. The whole bullet is brass except the very top tip is steel. I bought one box for $26 bucks and found it was pretty accurate at the range.

Call them in advance, my walmart looks the same every time i go in there so i decided to call one day and ask when/if they restock. I was told they restock there shelf's daily but you have to get there early because most of its gone by 6-7pm. Mind you this is in Tucson, AZ

Wow, I reckon my Wal-Mart is hogging all of the inventory from everyone else.

It's not like it used to be, but there is still a nice selection of ammo. If it isn't there this week, more than likely it will be the next. That's not saying I haven't seen a difference, the reloading supplies are scarce, and sometimes my Federal 550 bulk packs can be hard to find.

Looks strikingly familiar. Never thought I'd be shopping for bulk pack .22 online, and thus having to ship.

the 4 walmarts in my area? HELL YES they look that bare, and even worse.

Last year at this time walmarts was a wonderful place to look and drool over that 7mm rifle or perhaps one of the shotguns or stand in ammoland thinking about the possibilities.

Now? Meh. Go to Thompson or Gander to get that feeling back. Forget "No-mart"

Im half expecting that Ammuntion Gun floor space to be assimilated by the Tents and camping supply area or GASP!! Paint guns....

At the three stores I frequent, you typically can find lots of shotgun shells, .270 and .30-06 ammo, and mostly Remington .22LR, with a few packs of CCI MinMags as well. On rare occasions some .40S&W might be found, and two of the stores had a couple of boxes of .357SIG. But no other pistol ammo and no Federal .223 bulk packs. Even the one lonely box of .25ACP, which had been sitting there on the shelf for months now, was gone. Probably bought by someone who didn't even own a .25, but just had to buy some kind of pistol ammo while they were there.

No offense intended, but gang - we've had a metric buttload of 'WalMart has no ammo' thread in the last two weeks. Y'all simply need to find something else to talk about, because all of the complaining about WallyWorld ammo has zero profit.
