I went hunting in Maryland yesterday afternoon. Many animals were observed from my treestand: squirrels, turkeys, and hawks. At 6:45PM a young doe approached my stand. But I shot too soon and missed. Less than 10 minutes later, another doe approached from my back side. When It was almost straight down from me, I loosed my bolt into the back, it came out of the chest and imbedded into the soil. The doe dashed away but toppled after a run of about 35 yards. Field dressing showed the heart was shredded by my broadhead. The power of my modern crossbow never ceases to amaze me. I'm praising our Lord for this welcome venison!
