I want to get a SIG Sauer thread going. I'm aware that SIG Sauer has a striker fired pistol, the P320. It too is a great gun. Just curious to see how many people on here stick to their hammer fired SIGs. Nothing else feels as great to me. Although, Heckler and Koch is a nice tie / 2nd place.

Post pics!

Here is my EDC (every day carry) setup.

  • SIG Sauer P229 Elite Dark chambered in 9mm
  • 1 spare 20 round mag. (All loaded with Corbon DPX 115gr +P)
  • Wallet
  • Keys
  • Surefire E1D Defender. Uses 1 CR123 battery and puts out 300 lumens.
  • Spyderco Paramilitary 2
  • Smith and Wesson 360PD .357 / .38 Corbon bullets loaded and a speed strip.
Yes, I also carry a back-up gun.

Post your SIG Sauer EDC!

I carried a SP2022 in .40 for a while.
I'm on a revolver kick now so it went down the gun trade trail, but I liked the gun just fine. I'll likely buy another eventually. Probably in 9mm next time.

No pics of mine, but a Sig P224 Extreme in 40, with a 357sig and a 9mm barrel and mags to go with it.

Too lazy to take pix, but I do have a few.
Bought a P229R a few years ago that I often carry in winter. Couldn't decide on caliber, so I decided due to it's historical significance, why not make it my first 357 SIG?

Since then I replaced my longtime bed gun (Sigma 9VE) with an SP2022.
Had a deal dropped in my lap on an SP2022 in FDE / Black and couldn't resist - everybody needs at least one gun in FDE!?

Since my first was the original SA/DA, I'm sticking with that setup.

I carry a 1988 West German P226.

EDIT: I should add that I carry in a Galco King-Tuk, and I use Mec-Gar 18-round flush fit magazines, loaded with Federal HST 147-grain. The only alteration I've made to the P226 is adding Trijicon HD sights (the BEST handgun sights).

I'm usually packing a P220 Combat in .45. I do switch it up with a P320 in .357 Sig as well and would like to get a P229 in .357 Sig.

Good gawd, man, you EDC all that just going to work, or to the mall?! :what:

Seems that would be overkill even for waiting in line at the WallyMart on a busy afternoon ... ;)

I carry a P-239. Tried a lot of pistols but was never satisfied until I tried a 239. I've always liked DA/SA, makes sense to me. I've converted my neighbor to DA/SA Sigs. He has purchased two in the last few months.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if they aren't good ones. :p

I have a 357 SIG barrel for my P229 chambered in .40 S&W and sometimes shoot 357 through it. I would do so a lot more often if the ammo was less expensive. The P229 handles both calibers extremely well.

It helps that I live about 20 minutes away from the Sig Sauer Pro Shop where they have 125gr .357 Sig for $23 for a box of 50. It's cheaper than .45 ACP which is more of what I'm used to feeding. It's my new favorite caliber.

Well, I've carried a lot of different SIGs over the years...as both duty guns and CCW

Started with a SIG 220 as my first SIG and my first non-Colt .45ACP. This was my regular CCW for quite some time.
When I got into LE, the Wundernine was all the rage, so I got A 9mm 226 as a duty gun and carried a 228 while off duty
When my department converted over from revolvers, I was first issued a .40 229, then a .40 226 and finally a 9mm 226. The department's academy gun was a 225 and I had one issued for teaching.
When I started traveling to teach, I usually taught with my 220ST as it did double duty as a CCW after class.

I never owned or carried a SP2022, but have fired a lot of them. My favorite is was one in 357SIG, which would have made an excellent gun for both on and off duty

I forgot to add pictures.

My two favorite 220s. The alloy framed one is my old duty gun which has been lightly customized, the stainless one is my "teaching" ST
