Does his anti-gun control video shoot itself in the foot?

Does this video do more harm than good?

the guy has more videos than just the gun control one. listen to his others and i doubt youll be offended at all by the mask or flag or whatever else.

Well, it was quite obvious from his rhetoric before election what sort of president he would be, a bad one. And I disagree that the Confederacy attacked the U.S.

But I will admit that, however wrongly, people do associate that flag with evil, and it didn't help the cause any to use it. I'd probably have used some variation of "Don't Tread on Me" instead.

Or maybe even an american flag?

Not trying to be contrary, but there are plenty of folks that aren't too fond of the federal flag either.

My father's church had a debate on whether or not to display the federal flag in the sanctuary after 9/11, and folks came forward at the meeting to say that it was wrong to put the federal flag, a symbol of human institutions good and bad, up in a Church. As one parishoner put it: "You see the flag of Omaha Beach, I see the flag of the Vietnam War".

Right or wrong, the federal flag has negative connotations for many Americans.

Why drag politics into it? Let it be about liberty.

Maybe show some pine trees and lakes in the background. Everybody likes pine trees and lakes. *grin*

"That flag is the symbol of a hostile enemy power that the US defeated in war."
Same with the British, Canadian (War of 1812, Revolutionary War), Mexican (Remember the Alamo), Spanish (Teddy Roosevelt, San Juan Hill), French (Quasi War), Italian, German, Chinese (Boxer Rebellion and all that), Japanese, Vietnamese, North Korea...
A pack of those flags at the UN building in NY are symbols of hostile powers that we beat up on at one time or other.

Way I see it, we've had many bad presidents. Before and since... Heck, Jefferson Davis doesn't seem all that hot too me either.

You are welcome to disagree that the Confederacy attacked the U.S... But you'd be wrong.

I mean, I just have to ask, just what do you think happened at Ft. Sumter?

A big fat "Yep..." is about all that'll get from me. Of course, France, Canada, Mexio, Spain, Italy, Germany, China, and Japan, are all under the rule of wholly differnt governments then the ones we were at war with. Britain has been a stauch ally and trading partner since virtually the day the War of 1812 ended... Heck, they don't even think it was a war over there.

They were also all foreign nations to begin with, most with legitimate cassus belli (or we had it when we attacked them).

The CSA, not so much...
