I'm looking for a reliable, accurate, compact single or double action 9mm with adjustable sights and readily available high capacity magazines. Able to take a regular diet of double tap +p or +p+ without an issue. Intended to be a ccw, using the +p ammo for carry and take advantage of cheap wwb for practice. Is this gun out there? I was looking at the cz-75 compact.. almost perfect except for the lack of adjustable sights.
Does such a gun exist?

As for adjustable sights, you'll likely have to add those. I wouldn't advise it, but you'll be hard pressed to find a compact "ccw" pistol without fixed sights.

No, it's just fine that people 'diss' the Smith pistols...more and cheaper for me.
I think that S&W SA/DA/decocker pistols are the answer for carry pistols. They seem to NEVER fail, they're accurate, and they're ugly enough that you don't need to fret over their finish being dinged.
I'll admit to being slow to warm up to them - bought a LOT of pistols before my 469 came my way so cheap I decided to try it. Now I have that one next to my chair in front of the TV - the go-to gun if someone comes to the door. That means that I trust the pistol completely.

Sig P239 will fill your requirements and can be equipped with adjustable sights, but I don't understand why.

Sounds like about any double-stack pistol made in the last 20 years with some new sights.
Adjustable sights for a compact ccw? Why would you need them on a "up close & personal" weapon? Adjustables are just going to increase your chance of snagging on a quick draw without adding to accuracy at SD ranges.
Get some no-snag sights and leave them alone.

SR9 or CZ
The Ruger SR9 or the CZ75B would both be good choices. I really like the SR9, they have all the bugs worked out, the gun comes with a couple high capacity mags 17+1, it has adjustable rear sights, fits the hand well, light to carry, accurate and reasonably priced.
The CZ75B is also a good choice, it fits my hand perfect, 16+1 capacity, very accurate and also reasonably priced.
These are my picks....obviously there are many others..

Glock 19 with Arotek sights
I would suggest a Glock 19 with an aftermarket rear sight from Arotek in Washington state. These sights (shown below with link) cost $42 and are held in the Glock dovetail with two small screws. By loosening and tightening the screws you can drift the sights left and right in a few seconds. I have them on my Glock 19 and they work well - plus they are streamlined and do not snag.

i personally practice at 15 feet, without even looking at the sights. of course on the keltec, and lcp, the amount of sights is so small that it take way longer to use them than not. anyway. in a real pd situation, you probably are not going to have time to find and use the sights properly. i put a nite site glow in the dark dot on my front sight post, just to give me an indication where it is. but usually it is quick pull the pistol from my pocket, point it, and pull on the triger. in a real pd sit, that is about all you are going to have time to do. if i get all six rounds into the trunk of the tree(dead, aprox 2' in dia.) i am shooting at, i am happy
Well.. because I just don't see the point in having sights at all if they don't point to where the gun is going to shoot. If I just wanted a general direction, I could tell just by sighting down the barrel. I will look into the suggestions offered. I feel more steady with a piece of steel rather than the poly pistols though.
