wow those Conservatives are kicking but in the Senate:rolleyes:
A Conservative would let the Free Market handle the drug issue NOT more Govt involvment which 99% of the tiime makes the problem worse.

GWB publically wanted the AW Ban continued FACT! sorry fact.

January 2004
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Conservatives wait warily as President Bush makes final decisions about his election-year budget, three years into an administration on whose watch spending has mushroomed by 23.7 percent, the fastest pace in a decade.

While Bush has emphasized repeatedly the need to rein in spending, overall federal expenditures have grown to an estimated $2.31 trillion for the budget year that started October 1. That is up from $1.86 trillion in President Clinton's final year, a rate of growth not seen for any three-year period since 1989 to 1991.

What has vexed conservatives most is the 31.5 percent growth since Bush took office in discretionary spending. That is the one-third of the budget lawmakers approve annually for defense, domestic security, school aid and everything else except Social Security and other benefits.

Things look bleak in the long run, too. Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has said the Medicare bill could cost from $1.7 trillion to $2 trillion during its second 10 years, as the huge baby boom generation retires and foists added costs on taxpayers.

"The U.S. budget is out of control," the investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co. wrote its clients, projecting large deficits for the next decade. "Any thoughts of relief thereafter are a pipe dream until political priorities adjust."

How about a VETO anybody anybody out there

I will find the LBJ quote for you

This is just one source their are many
Where have you been in the last year or two?????

Hit the website on my sig. if you want to educate yourself more on what it means to be a fiscal Conservative. This is not a dig...I'm serious

We are fighting a War on Terror which might involve expenditures above and beyond normal fiscal policies! Geez Louise! Defense and Domestic Security need enhancement since Clinton gutted both. Schools need funds because there is no point having them unless they work! 31% growth in spending during a war is actually pretty frugal! Your blowing in the wind! Examine spending escalation during other wars and see what I mean.

Since Wall Street is booming, our GDP is up, and our economy is growing faster than recent, I wouldn't worry too much!

your response is part why I left the GOP.........Your response is not how a Conservative would handle the issue. You proved one of my points: Hes playing the Bill Clinton game.....as long as the economy is growing we can spend out of control. Again this is not how a Conservative would act. Still no response on how Bush has Increased Individual Liberty here at home. Thanks for making my point(s).
Enjoy the fog:cool:

Good. The GOP does not need fair weather friends that join it when times are good and abandons it when times are bad. The Republican Party must be flexible to bend to the times, be adapatble to war and peace footing economically, and make policy rather than just suggest it. Under GWB, we have!

Since you seem to be a fiscal worrywart, perhaps you can explain Reagan's first adminstration DoD spending spree which is historically unrivaled in government spending escalation... that must have given you a damn heart-attack...did you abandon the party then too?

So much for winning hearts and minds:rolleyes:
The GOP LEFT(in every sense of the word) ME!! I have always been a conservative and will reward people and parties with my money and votes for walking the walk on being a conservative. If they can not get there house in order I (because I'm a free market guy) will take my busness elsewhere. They have to win my vote NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!! Remember its about Liberty.

Wingman goodone I have no clue and its why I'm frustrated :banghead: The libs are never an option, and I will not reward this "GOP" with my vote.

Good luck with that! I'm sure the cowards in the Democrat Party with their tight fiscal discipline will welcome you with open arms!

yawn

Is this the best the GOP can offer????

anyway, Camp David I will be offline for a couple of hours now (have to feed the boys and put them to bed...nap time..which is time to clean the house and do other stuff (shut up I'm not a sallie!!!):D

Voted Republican all my life. Trouble is since 911 i've never seen anyone spit on the Constitution as much as King George. Now on it will be the Constitution Party for me. The Republicans in control of everything could have done so much to return us to the Republic the founding fathers wanted us to be. All they have done is destroy our rights!

Anyone want to tell me about this war on terror. More like a war for the oil in Iraq then terror. What is it over a million a year just walk into this country. Guess King George figures it is more important to secure Iraq borders then are borders. He is a traitor plain and simple!
