Does your Wal-Mart have WWB JHP's?

Mine doesn't. It used to. When will they start circulating again? I'd like to run a bunch through my PM9 to make sure it cycles HP's reliably.

Nope. I used to go by every day after work (around 7am), and none in stock for 9mm or .45. A few weeks ago I got two boxes of .45 ACP JHPs (the first and last two I'd seen) just for range use.

To be honest, I dont see much winchester anything. Or .45 ACP anything.

Nope, around here they have the .40S&W in FMJ's but no JHP's. Recently they've been pretty low stocked on WWB, yet they always seem to have the WinClean at double the price (go figure huh).

Mine does carry them. They are sometimes in stock, but like most ammo, it's infrequent these days.

Just so you know, if you run a bunch of WWB HP's through the gun, you will know that the gun cycles THOSE HPs reliably. that may or my not hold true for other hollow points. Remember that different ammo uses different bullet profiles, different power loadings, etc...
I wouldn't want to run 200 WWB HPs through the gun, say it cycles HPs and then load it up with Speer Gold Dot (to name but one of many examples of premium hollow point designs.)

My local Walmart has had nothing but Blazer .40 FMJ for months, but they just recently got a big shipment of some funky orange boxed 9mm. Hopefully .38spl will be returning soon...

Yes, I was there to pick up some office supplies this morning and swung by the case. There were some 100rd value boxes of 130gr. fmj .38 and a some .357 jhp this morning. And a box of .44mag 240gr. jhp. I think there was some jhp in .40 also. there was a bunch of 9mm target, and a lot of .40 target also, but I didn't see any 9mm hp's. No .45 of anything as usual.

umm, a good bit of the time we have .45 FMJ, I dont know about JHP, basspro is CLEAN OUT last time I waas there (Gatlinburg Location) all they had of rifle ammo: 5-6 boxes or .17HMR, one box of .338 Lapua Magnum, and I think a box of .22-250, for handgun ammo: one box of .32ACP, a box of .357Sig, one premium box of .45ACP, sad.....

It carries them but never has them in stock. I haven't seen any there for over a year. That's fine with me because there are plenty of other places to buy ammo. Also, calling the 1800walmart number and complaining can work wonders for your local stores ammo supply. Don't ask me how I know. :)

like above, they "carry" them, but seeing them in stock is another story.

I did just buy 5 boxes of RWS in 9mm there. they have about 40 boxes at my local walmat and reading some reviews over on glockworld it's good stuff.

although I'm not sure how people complain about $16 per box of 50.

Glad you brought that up. Why is it $16 a box? I know its 124gr but it's still fmj. Federal Champion is $9.47 at my local walmart. What makes you want to buy that stuff?

Mine had tons of boxes of that RWS this week too. I don't know why they're charging $16.97 for 124 gr FMJs.

ok I really need to know where you all buy your ammo. I've bought ammo (including 100 count WWB) in all kinds of places including the gun show, walmart and online and the cheapest I've ever seen 9mm luger was $13.98 pr 50ct box online. Add in the shipping and it's approx $16.

Now I've also seen remington 9mm for upwards of $30 for 50. So to me $16 per 50ct box is fantastic! Maybe it's because I've never seen a 50ct box of 9mm for $10, or maybe I'm just used to spending $55 for a 20ct box of S&W500 but for now i'm ok spending $16.

oh, and I have also never seen the WWB or the Federal 9mm ammo in stock so $16 for 50 is better than nothing.

4-5 years ago, the local Wally Worlds cleared out all their WWB 9mm ammo for $5.00 a box. I bought a case (10 boxes) of 147gr JHPs and a case of 115gr FMJs. Don't shoot much 9mm so I have a few boxes left. This didn't really have anything to do with this thread but I just wanted to go down memory lane.

Saw a bunch of ammo last Saturday. 10 boxes of 9MM, couple of .45, including the value packs.
