Does your Wal-Mart have WWB JHP's?

ok I really need to know where you all buy your ammo.

Where I'm at (MS gulf coast) about $10 is the going price for 9mm fmj 50 packs. A box of WWB jhps goes for about $15. The best deal is the $25 Rem UMC jhps in the 100 pack I find at my local walmart every so often. I do swipe a box of that up everytime I see some. The cost of living here might be less than where you are at though.

Yea, all the time at my Wal-Mart. I've seen WWB JHP in .357 sig, .40 165 gr, .45, 7.62x39, .223... ehhh... that's about it i think.

the 7.62 JHP seems to always be in stock

Nope, no JHP's but they almost always have 100 rd valu packs of fmj for 20 bucks. As such, it would hurt pretty badly to pay 16 bucks for 1/2 as much ammo.

I got 1 f$%#@^ box of 9mm Remington UMC 115 fmj in last 8 months at 2 local Wally Worlds. NO 45acp in sight.:banghead:

I have seen 38spl and 125 gr 357 mag JHP ammo at Walmart. I'm not particularly concerned about it. In the last couple of months, I have barely been inside a Walmart other than to buy groceries. Buy your HP ammo at gunshops.

Things are improving on the shelves and I suspect it will continue to improve unless there is a political event that prompts folks to buy all they can find at any price.

Last time I was there they had 3-50 rd. boxes of Federal .40, 1 bx. .357, afew assorted small count .22 lr. and some bulk packs of .22 lr.

.38, 9mm, .45 and .233 doesn't last long around here. If you aren't there shortly after the shelves are stocked you will miss out.

funny, it's not the "cheap" stuff but my walmar always has boxes of Remington UMC .223 ammo. sometimes there are a couple dozen boxes.

Most of the time Waly World in my area has WWB FMJ 115. in 50 round and 100 round bulk packs. Once in a Remmy UMC and now they have the new stuff in Orange and black box. Im not going to pay $16 a box of 50 when they have WWB 100 round bulk pack for $21. I bought 300 rounds last night.

Has yours started carrying the Federal Champion yet? Ever sense mine started carrying it, it keeps .45 in pretty regularly. It goes for something like $15 per box of 50.

My walmart has them right now, but they are usually out. The display case was broken for a week or 2, and they weren't selling ammo. The case was just fixed, and I haven't seen that much ammo at a walmart in a long long time. :)

Mine has two boxes .44 mag and 110 grain .357. Same two boxes for the past couple of months and almost no other handgun ammo. Some places have the Remington in green and yellow bxes.
It's also hard to find premium hollowpoints around here. The only .45 ACP JHP I can get consistently is Golden Sabre, and I still haven't shot enough of it (yet) to really trust it in all my pistols.

Did buy a box of WWB FMJ 9mm at Gander Mountain. It was their only box of 9mm, except for two 20 round boxes of cor-bon +p. Pitiful inventory.

I'll tell you why some of us pay $16 a box for that RWS 9mm. It's because you can never find any of the other stuff on the shelves. Most of you who keep saying you always buy the WWB for $10 a box aren't saying where you are. I know for a fact, here in Western Washington I rarely ever see it on Wally World's shelves. Last time I did it was a couple boxes of .38 special, and that was a year ago. And, it sure as heck wasn't $10. Either they plain aren't stocking it here, or someone is scarfing it all up when it hits the shelves. :banghead:

I like to think I helped convince my local Wally World to adopt a box limit so a larger number of customers can be served, not just the ones that show up at the right time. They set the limit at 6, whoopee. Sometimes that's all they have, if that much. Especially in .380.
