A friend picked up a pistol yesterday that has a Colt serie 80 Mark IV upper and Para Ordnance lower on it. The lower is a doublestack, and the magazine holds 13 rounds. He wants to get more mags, but isnt sure of the exact make of the lower, it has a serial, but nothing else to indicate if its a p13 or p14. So my question is this...Will a mag from a p13 fit a p14, or the other way around? Any help would be appreciated. And the serial starts with PGO on the frame. Thanks in advance.

I would guess the opposite. It wouldn't surprise me if that 13-round mag was an older full-size one, with the frame being full-size as well; if that were the case, then a P-13 mag would be too short for the frame.

The floor plate on the mag reads "Para-Ordnance Inc 45acp pat pend" and the frame is the alloy I believe.
