Down loading the Colt WALKER

Im going to shoot my WALKER with a 24 grain pirodex load , how can i take up the empty chamber space ? larger wad?

use a filler.
why are you shooting 24 grains is beyond me. but here is what you do.
put in 24 grains then wad then fill another 24 grains with either cream of wheat or oatmeal to act as a filler then add the ball. comonly done

im shooting on a indoor range we carnt shoot full loads

You could always just seat the Ball lower, also, I s'pose.

Though this is said to detract from accuracy a little bit.
