I own a Glock 24P and a CZ 40B so I have 2 high-cap mags that will fit the 27 and 3 high-caps that will fit the RAMI for spares to carry on me. Winter it will be a pocket gun (with holster) and summer might wear IWB.

I can't decide. I really like my CZ but the Glock has a proven track record and holsters are commonly available and inexpensive which offsets it's slighly higher cost. The weight for carrying doesn't bother me and might tame the recoil a bit. They're really tight in the running.

RAMI can go Cocked and Locked but I don't really trust one in the pipe on a Safeaction for pocket carry, even in a holster. Not sure if I trust C&L on the RAMI for that matter in a pocket. So that's pretty much a wash. But if I do belt holster it I'm happier with C&L on the RAMI but if I'm going through that much trouble I might be carrying one of my bigger guns.

Suggestions? What am I missing?

My local gunshop has both a new RAMI and used G27 in the cabinet so I could pick up either one on the way home.

I haven't been able to HOLD a RAMI, yet.

But shootability would be the key issue.

I don't shoot the little Glocks worth a damn. They feel like I'm holding a small brick. They just don't POINT for me. I do like the bigger Glocks, had a 17, and still have a 34. Have shot a 22 a lot.

I assume -- but having not held one, I can't be sure -- that the RAMI is more like a CZ-75B than anything else. That being the case, I'd like to hold one, and try the trigger before I decide.

I like CZ and Glocks, so it would be hard decisions decided by pointability and how the gun felt in my hand.

I chose a G-27 for a CCW when I was testing Glock's
for my satisfaction. While the SIG P220 was resting;
I carried the sub-compact Glock in a Galco belt slide
leather holster; and guess what? I almost got
attached too it!

Hopefully when I fondle them it will make up my mind for me. That would be nice. They might even let me shoot the used G27. If it points as good or better than the other. Need to remember to look at revolvers too, but I generally prefer autos and an auto would match in shape of the other stuff in my pockets better.

Between my PDA/phone, leatherman, flashlight, wallet, and 2 pocket knives it would take someone a while to spot a gun too ;)

Hi there,

I too am interested in the Rami. Personally though, I plan to let someone else buy the first few thousand and discover any "unique charecteristics" :scrutiny:

Thanks,
Brent...

get the glock definitely. they are time-tested, and nothing shoots better for a compact .40

The Glock. If you have to choose - the Glock.

If you don't have to choose buy both.

Why the Glock? Most reliable. Most idiot proof. Most long lasting. And I like them.

RE: RAMI vs G27

If weight is not an issue for you, I would say the RAMI wins. I've had many glocks, including the subcompacts....sold them all. The RAMI "feels" better in my hands, so definitely see how it feels in your hands before deciding.

The extra weight really helps in holding down the RAMI recoil. To me, the RAMI .40 S&W recoil isn't much more than shooting a 9mm +P+ in my PCR, I really can't tell much difference.

Holsters will be widely available for the RAMI soon...until then I'm using my old Glock subcompact FIST Kydex IWB holster, the RAMI fits it just fine.

The long DA trigger pull is a plus if you wish to carry with a loaded chamber and don't like the C & L option.

Reliability is not an issue, IMHO.

Well Ive shot them both and there is a Rami 40 in my pocket as I type this.

12 Volt and I went and shot the little monster and in all honesty.......it does Rock quite well.

Holsters ARE NOT A PROBLEM :D

The biggest difference is recoil even with the 2 finger grip I love to hate on the Rami it recoils like my 9mm PCR. MUCH MORE SHOOTABLE THAN any G27 Ive run across and I like the glock alot. Its a very very very accurate little pocket gun. Very much like a good Kahr.

Just my take on things.........

Shoot well.................

Played with the RAMI at the dealer today and I've shot a 27 in the past. I have to say the RAMI is going to win this one. It fits me really well with the "pinky under" grip, with the alloy frame it's not much heavier than the Glock, the trigger pull is identical to my CZ 40B which I shoot very well, and the out the door price is cheaper.

Now that I've just have to save up the money. Local is asking a pretty fair price and has one in stock so I think I'll bite.

Assuming that everything is equal between the two for you go for the G27.

Spare mags are cheap
You can use G23/G22 prebans
Holsters and accessories are plentiful
Customer service is tops
Simple and rugged mechanism
Light weight
Rust resistance

Oh.........respectfully Telocote :D

Spare mags are cheap
You can use G23/G22 prebans

** *Rami takes the CZ Hi caps just fine**

Holsters and accessories are plentiful

**You can imagine what Im gonna say about this one :D***

Customer service is tops

**Same with CZUSA......rumored to be better than Glock****

Simple and rugged mechanism

**Same here......***

Light weight

**Same as the Rami almost anyway**

Rust resistance

***No advantage....Alloy doesnt rust.....both have steel slides with good finishes on them*****

NOW with the Rami you get the choice of Cond 1 or 2 carry. You get a trigger that is more consistant than the G27 and from what Ive shot the Rami is as accurate as most any CZ made. Which is more consistant than most Glocks Ive shot.

:neener: :D

Shoot well.............

How much are spare mags for the Rami? They're $16 for the G27.

How many major companies make holsters for the Rami? Galco, Alessi, SideArmor, etc. etc. all make holsters for the G27.

My experience with CZ USA's customer service was subpar. It depends if "Mike" is in a good mood or not. My experience with Glock customer service has always been excellent. YMMV

How many parts does the Rami have? Can you take it completely apart with just one punch? I'm not trying to flame, I'm trying to learn.

Isn't the slide steel? Is the finish as tough as Tenifer?

Different strokes for different folks.:D Choices, just one more thing that makes this country great.;)

Point taken......each is a great pistol. And yes it DOES depend on if Mikes in a good mood or not :scrutiny:

Country........What country? You live in the Ice Cream Capital of the World.
Its own independent place to live...................isnt it? :D

Shoot well.

bianchi 10A fits Rami

The trigger is completely covered, the grip is totally free, the rear sight is about an inch above cover, fits as a perfect snug.

Any good sources for extra high capacity clips for the Rami?
