I'm thinking about buying a DPMS Panther Arms AR lower from a friend? Anyone thoughts on this brand?

DPMS makes a good lower, i bought a stripped lower last year for 120. plus there forged .

With some .223 ammo going for a dollar a round retail, the ammo alone for $800 would be fair.
