here is my olympic arms k3b flattop. i had an ncstar reflex red dot sight, but now i have a simmons 3-9x40, havnt got to go to the range yet with the scope on but cant wait. also have the od green pmag with the window. how do i put pics on this site. anyway i cant figure out how to put pics on this damn website. sorry, but anyway thats what i have.

Classic Arms had 2 on their website for a brief time the other morning for $800.
Couple available elsewhere for about $900. That's the best deal in the AR-15 family right now. Thoughts?

VachSS while I like the rifle and tan / dark earth color treatment. The buttstock seems the oddest place for a flashlight.
I am so jealous of you guys that already have your gun. I have the lower and am waiting very unpatiently for the rest to come in. I went through Del-Ton and I guess they are WAYYYY behind. Gee I wonder why???
Can't wait to get mine put together. I shot my brothers and even if it doesn't have burst it was more fun than shooting the one they give me out of the arms room.

I've had my Sportical about a month. Just shot it for the first time last Saturday. Woohoo.

I need some advice on a quad rail. I just picked up a DPMS sportical - .308 variant. I would like to replace the standard hand guards with a quad rail, but there are many out there and I have no way of knowing which will hold up after several thousand rounds of firing. Additionally since it is a .308 I wasn't 100% sure that just any quad rail would fit it. I have been considering going with FF because I am addicted to accuracy - hate blaming a miss on the gun. Any suggestions?

I have been eyeing the Sportical as my first entry into the evil black rifle regime and all the extremely positive info I have read here today has helped me with my final decision.
I am a 'minimalist' and like the clean, no nonsense lines on the Sportical. I just do not see the need for that contoured barrel and all the other add-ons.
I am going to start out and get only flip-up Buis. A few extra mags (5 max). I have a few lights to chose from, but will decide some time in the future about which one will get mounted - if I go that far. A red-dot optic is about the only extra, over and above the BUIS that I am seriously considering.
Current price-point on most all the auction sites seems to have come down somewhat as well.
I will now watch the auctions and local dealers with an eagle eye and jump when I feel that I am not being gouged tooo much.
My wallet hand is now itching!!!!

I got it from midwest gun exchange for $569 (support your blue dog Democrats like Baucus, Tester and Webb and even Harry Reid, as they are the ones keeping an AWB from passing, at least until 2010). Anyway, I feel a lot better about my purchase, due to y'alls comments. I am going to mount the B@L Elite 300 from my deer rifle on this beast and was wonding about scope rings. What would you reccomend? Also, this is my 1st AR since ROTC many many, years ago. I got 4 magpulls with the gun. Are they any good or should I be looking for GI surplus?

I have owned a sportical for a couple years now and byfar its my favorite carbine for the $ I got my for $699 new in the box and have put quite a few upgrades on it to spice it up a bit!
Soo, with that said i wanted to show everyone my set-up and see what people think of it. Its still in the building stage cuz there is ALWAYS some thing else to put on it and will probably never be done being built LoL Here are a few pics my friends!

Heres my DPMS, though I would throw it up to show the quad rails. If anybody is looking for an affordable set that isnt free-float, double star makes a good set for $130 or so. The pictures make the finish lighter than it is.
Im pretty sure that anybody that has a problem with DPMS must of had a problem with them awhile back because they make a fine rifle now.
