Dream double rifle cartridge

All of the double gun shooting is from off hand with no rest. But I’m thinking I might be over stating a bit on the speed.
it seems reasonable, since AR and pistol and revolver reloads can be done in a second, for a double rifle to be done in 2-3 seconds. i am picturing you throwing two 50bmg sized shells in the chamber like jerry miculek throwing moon clips into revolver. do you hold the gun with the support hand and load with the strong hand or vice versa?

My technique was to carry two extra rounds between my forehand (weak hand) and the fore arm. I fire my two, pop open the action with my strong hand thumb holding the rifle in my strong hand. Drop the spare rounds into the chamber with my weak hand and as I close the gun come up on target and fire my next pair.

I actually figured that out watching some of the super fast SxS shotgun shooters in cowboy action shooting.

With proper grip and recoil control you can get two aimed rounds off with a double in under two seconds. A fast reload takes three or more seconds and then the second two rounds in under two if you’re good.

That’s if the station is a close up target like a charging target. If you need some time to aim at a further target it’s obviously going to take much longer.

Many years ago I had a guided tour of the H&H gun factory. One of our shooting club members was a apprentice at H&H at the time. After looking round you understand why their guns cost what they do. My old boss bought a matched pair of Purdey 20 bore shotguns. I got to handle them. After handling them you realise how second rate most mass produced shotguns are.
