Hey everyone!

If this post is not allowed, or needs to be moved to a new area, I apologize.

I had a dream last night that I was a teacher at a high school (I am not a teacher), and an active shooter situation presented itself. Me being the prepper I am, I had one of my plate carriers, a battle belt, an AR, and a pistol, with at least 5 magazines for the AR and 4 for the pistol, all in a range bag locked in my under seat storage box in my 2020 Silverado in a private gated parking area. (Again, let it be known I am NOT a teacher at a high school, but at my old high school, there was fenced in and gated faculty parking.) Anyway, I ran out and slung my vest on and threw my battle belt on over my regular belt. (I keep it with the padded base layer belt on it ready to go, but have an inner belt I use on range days to keep it more secure, but the padded belt stays on in case I have to throw it on in the middle of the night.) I threw my gear on, slung my AR, and went back inside the building.

I did not search out the active shooter. Instead, I just went room by room, clearing rooms and warning and protecting the faculty and children, locking them inside, and then marking the door on the frame with the sharpie I keep in my TQ holder as C or P (clear or protect).

As I was walking through, the group of gunmen, about 3-4 teenage males roughly 15-18 years old, approached me. I yelled for them to drop their weapons or I would open fire. They refused. I shouted once more and one of them raised a pistol at me. I opened fire and started shooting several squirts/blasts of water at them while moving to find cover. In my dream I was thinking, "WHAT THE F***!? Why is my gun shooting like a squirt gun!? Why is it shooting water!?" It shocked me so bad I woke up and wanted to get on here and ask someone else about it.

My question is, has anyone ever had dreams like this before? I've had others where my trigger feels like it weighs a million pounds (pull weight) OR that it doesn't activate anything.

So, has anyone else ever had dreams like this? Has anyone ever talked to anyone about it and uncovered the root meaning behind it? Is it because I don't train enough? Is it because, subconsciously, I don't want to harm anyone?

What do y'all think? Again, please don't drag me on this. I'm just genuinely curious about this phenomenon and if it's common.

Thank you!

In my dreams, as a much younger man, my guns never worked. Nothing as detailed as yours. I was told it had to do with an underlyingfeeling of insecurity when I was young. They were unsettling for a short time but have been unnoticed for decades now.
