Hi everyone

I recently bought a new (well, technically they're used but you get the picture) DSA Stg-58. I bought a scope mount for it- the "Extreme Duty Scope Mount) made especially for the DSA FAL's. I got it on and everything, but I am having trouble getting the bolt carrier assembly back in once the mount is on. It slides in but only about half way. I looked in the hollow (not chamber, but.. where the bolt carrier would go) and there is some sort of obstructing mechanism blocking the way. It doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary, I just can't get the bolt carrier back in and it's pissing me off!:cuss:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That's easy slip you bolt with slide assy and when it stops stick you finger and lift the bolt up if you can not get your finger in flip the rifle upside down (LEANING THE BARREL WITH THE SIGHTS DOWN AND AT A 45* ANGLE) then the bolt will fall in problem solved.... It happens to us one time or another and welcome to the world of FAL's....

Thanks for the help everyone. Noob mistake- I didn't pull the bolt open before I took out the carrier. The (internal hammer?) was the obstruction. Works great now! I'll post pics when I get the chance.
