I believe the ammo is backward in the magazine. The leading end would appear to send the ammo into the chamber rim first.

I got one of those for free. I gave it to a friend who was interested in starting to reload. I don't think he ever did, but I don't actually blame the scale. Well, not much.

It’s not a doohickey it’s the whole thing. It’s compactness has merit. But the clear side plate? Looks more like a starter pistol or sci-fi creation.

In the "good old days" there were some fishing reels (like Abu Garcia Cardinal for example) with a clear side plate, made in very limited numbers. They were called "salesman's models" - for the customers to see the (then new) mechanism of the reel. Maybe some not-quite-clever manager in Taurus missed the idea behind it by a feet or so? That's my only logical explanation why such a stupidity would be put in production.
