Durham CT Gun Show Problem

Went doen to where the gunshow was supposed to be today, and the place was empty. Anybody else experience or know a reason behind this? It was advertised in the Courant yesterday, and I had a flyer from the previous show. I ran into several other people who showed as well looking for the show, obviously to no avail. :banghead:

Sorry Can't Help - Please Try Calling the Number on the Flyer

I was looking for the ad in the 'Bargin News' and didn't see it. They have always had an ad there for the April and October show. May I suggest you call the number on the flyer and ask what the story was? There's always a number on the flyer to call for 'details' or if you want to rent a table. Thanks and good luck.

You did go to the Durham Fairgrounds, correct?

I know that there was a problem with the Marlboro MA gunshow on April 8-9 held by the same promoter. It was scheduled the same weekend as a big gunshow in NH and from what I heard there was some pressure by the other promoter that vendors either had to go to that show or risk not being invited to their next one. As a result Marlboro was much smaller than usual.

I could have sworn that I thougt the show was in May. I actually will be visiting a friend who lives only about 15 miutes away from where the show is. I can stop by and immedietly post here again what I found out. I wil do this Sunday morning.

Yes, I did go to the Fairgrounds. I have been to every prior show at that location, and the gate at the parking area was closed, and there was NOsignage as there usually is.

I have attached a copy of the flyer they had distributed at a previous show, which reflected the same date as Friday's paper.

According to the last post in this thread on NortheastShooters.com some people were aware of a cancellation as early as two weeks ago. Bummer the promoter did not work harder to get the info out.
