EAA Double Rifel

Saw a post, the other day, not really sure where, about the EAA Double Rifle. They call it the 221, or something like that. Anyway I went on thier site and asked if you could load it with Ruger No.1 strength ammo. They said NO. So a double rifle with Trapdoor strength loads, is really not aLL THAT EXCITING.
The people at EAA have come a long way with their guns. At first they looked like a something from a junior high shop class, but they are slowing improving.

Yep, EAA say that the rifle shouldn't be used with anything other than low power loads, but ....

The rifle is also offered in calibres like .308, 30.06, .270 and .223. All of these calibres operate at pressures way in excess of trapdoor 45-70 loads .... in fact up around and above the 45-70 loads for Marlins and stronger modern rifles. Handloading would be required to get the most out of the rifle, but that's not necessarily a bad thing anyway.

EAA advise that the 45-70 should be shot with Trapdoor loads because they KNOW you're never going to have any problems with those loads and then sue them because of it. I'll bet they don't say that you can only use low powered 30.06 loads .....
