What's the word on EAA's rimfire offerings, specifically the HW660 and the Ural 5.1. I bellieve that the HW660 is made by Weirach and the Ural is made by Izmash? Has anyone ordered one recently? What were your likes and dislikes? Parts availability? J&G has a Biathlon for sale, but I don't plan on sking and shooting, would it work ok just for target work? Would like an anschutz, but don't want to pay Annie prices, (sight sets are $300 alone and they increased prices!!). Would the EAA offerings be a good compromise? The rifle will most likely shoot better than I can for quite some time. All comments welcome. Have at it!!

I don't see why not. If those shoot anything like their Biathlon Basic, you'll be in for a world of fun.

damm you sactown :cuss:

everytime you post somthing like this, my list of "wants" gets longer...isn't your tricked out 10/22 enough ;)

how much will one of these beast cost me now?...i like the look of the Ural but like the compactness of the biathlon.

If I have money, I'll buy them all. :) I really dig the Biathalon model.

MSRP is 998 on the biathlon, so proably 700-800?
The HW660 is 999, so it's probably in the 700-800 range as well, but the Anschutz sights themselves are $300.

I have the IZH35M right now and that thing is a tack driver and doesn't stop shooting. It's a little rough, but oh, can it shoot. IZH looks like a steal.

heh, forgot about that, but I'm really enjoying the challenge of iron sights.

I'm not so sure about the Ural, but the other two definitely have a LOT of visual appeal to me. They look muscular and purposeful in the same way as a DeTomaso Pantera or a Shelby Mustang does. They can intimidate by their looks alone.

Yep, I'd happily have one of each. ;)

I think the bottom one (Biathlon) is the only one that I would consider "muscular" in appearance. In comparison, the 660 nearly seems dainty.
