I recently purchased a 4.5" SAR B6P from Rural King and I must say for the price it is a pretty darn good pistol.

I paid $287 after tax. The pistol only comes with one magazine, but CTD has the factory SAR mags for ~$22 each. Since the pistol is a CZ75 based gun it does accept Mec-Gar CZ75B mags, but only if you really slap them in hard. I ended up buying some of the factory mags from CTD.

Too the pistol to the range and it shoots pretty darn good. The trigger in SA breaks clean, but does have a longer reset. DA pull is long and tough like most DA triggers. I have the Tanfoglio Witness fullsize 9mm polymer as well, and the B6P compares favorably.

After shooting, dis-assembly is just like any other pistol based off the CZ75 design. For the price point, the machining is exceptionable as there were no tool marks. The parkerized coating look good and should do its job.

If you have a Rural King in your area and are looking for an inexpensive pistol the B6P would fit the bill.

With the Witness and SAR 9mm polymer pistols out there, I see no reason for people to buy those el-cheapo pot metal Saturday Night Special guns.

Thanks for the post. I've been looking at the compact model of the B6P.

Can you post some pics?

Sure.

IIRC, that's the SAR K2P. Rural King has that model too. It says they are OOS on the website, but you'd have to check with the store nearest you.

I put a 13 lb hammer spring from wolf in my B6P and the da/sa pull is much better.

Done a light polish on the hammer and sear with a dremel and flitz polish to finish it off.

Really straight shooter and cleans up well.

I think its a little light for some peoples taste. Maybe a 14 or 15lb might break at 5.5 on the SA. But the DA is like a real light revolver trigger and if you pull all the way through you don't feel the half-cock.

What i don't like about it is that god awful curved trigger and small trigger guard. I guess it doesn't bother accuracy much but if my fingers were any bigger it would bother the dog snot out of me.

My review of the SAR B6P

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=786697

You can fix the Mec-Gar magazine with a few passes of a Dremel tool. If you look at the magazine face-on, (as if the bullet tips were facing you), you can see the slot on the left is a little lower than the slot on the right. (If you're looking at the back of the magazine, this would be the slot on the right).

So I went to Home Depot and bought the diamond tip for my Dremel. I took a little less than 1/32" off the top of just the slot on the right and the mag goes in easily now, but still fits in tight and releases fine.

And here is a picture:

And here is a side-by-side of the SAR B6P and the Tanfoglio Polymer Witness, just because I love pictures of guns :)
