Where the Army puts me
My dad just got me a Witness Steel 9mm in their wonder finish. He bought it off Gunbroker and it should be here in a few days. I've owned a few Witnesses in the past as well as some CZ pistols and I've always been a fan. And of course the things that haunted me back then are haunting me now like: lack of aftermarket, lack of holsters, Lack of everything. My question to the highroad is how many of you have one of these and who has gear for them? I'm really thinking about making my own kydex holsters.

You should phone a Pro like Henning. If he can't point you in the right direction I doubt anyone can. For heavens sake don't ask EAA.

Henning's has about anything you could want to upgrade your Witness.

Numrich has a fair amount of parts available and Midway has a few.

As far as holsters and grips the small frame Witness is virtually identical to a CZ-75.

And then there's always e-bay for holsters and such too.

What is it you want that you're not finding???

See this is why I love the Highroad, I've been looking for this stuff all day. Being a little worried when things don't say this fits "EAA Witness Steel" keeps me from getting them. Thank you guys you just made my day.

My question is which holsters fit the large frame Witness? I'd love to be able to carry my .45 Witness. It's been dead-nuts reliable and I'd love to have it with me when hunting and when out and about.

People say the Glock holsters work with it. Possibly take it to a Gun Store and try some?

I've wondered about the Glock holsters. My Witness is from the late 90s and has the more square slide.

Also have a TZ75. 1989 mfr, iirc. Transitional model, iirc. The rare one. Was unfired when I bought it a few years ago. Not anymore. I ran a couple hundred rounds through it recently.
It is just as boringly reliable as it's .45 brother. Pull the trigger and it goes bang.

All new Witnesses are large frame, though, and the dang rail makes it even tougher.

My 10mm compact fits well in a G19 holster, but with the rail, my guess is you'll have to look at large frame (G20/21) holsters. The rounded slide profile may give you some latitude, though.

When I had a 10mm I used a 1911 holster that fit quite well, no rail on it though.

I would think that CZ97 holsters would probably work too, but never tried one.

If you've got a light or laser on it lotsa luck finding a holster, but this is true of a lot of pistols that aren't Glocks.

Now I have an EA-9 which is one of the early pre-Witness models and it is almost identical to a CZ-75.

Yeah the owner of the shop thinks very very highly of Witnesses, a brand new glock sales for $550. It's priced that high so no one will buy it and he can keep it lol. We had 2 Witness Match one in 38super and 9mm we priced them high and the 9mm sold for over $1k 2hours after putting it on the shelf. The 38super went to the house.

That makes absolutely no sense.

Order 2, keep one, sell the other at a reasonable (like MSRP or lower) price. He's $105 over MSRP, and about $200 over average actual brick & mortar store retail.

We had 2 Witness Match one in 38special and 9mm we priced them high and the 9mm sold for over $1k 2hours after putting it on the shelf. The 38special went to the house.

PT Barnum quote in order. Only such a person would pay nearly double for a readily available item

(And it's .38 Super, not .38 Spl.)

MachIV, My bad on the 38super I was thinking it but typed something else. It doesn't have to make sense, it's the owners property (who has been retired 3 times) he'll do with it what he wants. We buy low and sale low, usually never selling anything for MSRP. He just likes witnesses for whatever reason, I've tried to tell him and I showed him what they are going for.

Good looking piece OP. I'm glad fellow high roaders have chimed in to give you some options. I wouldn't mind trying one of these out myself.

I have pretty much the same gun in .40 S&W that is sold as the Tanfoglio Combat here in Canada. I found that holsters made for the CZ Shadow will work with the EAA/Tanfoglio's as well.
