EBR Collection: Where Do I go Now?

GSG-5 is another for my list. So is the PS90, but I've heard mags for it are only 30rd. Not a real problem per se, more of an inquiry.
The PS90 comes with one 50 round mag with a spacer in it that makes it only 30 rounds. However all one has to do is remove the spacer and spend $15 on a regular floorplate and the mag is now a 50 rounder.

One nice thing is that the PW Arms AR-57 mags come standard in 50 round and also come in black or clear. They are just as good as the mags FN makes and less expensive. I have one factory FN mag for my PS90 and that's the one that came with the gun, all the rest are AR-57 mags.

Evil Black Rifle. The term is only a few years old as far as I know so you're probably not alone. It basically pertains to AR-15s and other modern military style weapons that are black/polymer and generally scary looking to antis.

How about an HK-93 clone (the v-93 from Atlantic Firearms)? Sig 556 maybe?

Thanks for the info. The more I hear about the PS90, the more interested I am. If only they weren't so expensive....

Maybe I can convince my wife SHE needs it. It would certainly fit her (she's very very tiny).

Before you rule out an M1A completely, here's a few of the options to turn it into an EBR. Not just the obvious.

The first reference to "EBR" that I am aware of pertained to a project around the year 2000 and primarily held in the interest of the Navy in upgrading the M14. It seems the Navy SEALs were still quite fond of their M14s, but wanted something shorter, lighter, and easier to scope and accessorize. This project called for an "Enhanced Battle Rifle." Basically, an 18 inch barreled M14 with a shorter and more effective flash suppressor designed to quick-attach a sound suppressor dropped in a chassis stock system made by a company named Sage, which adds a pistol grip, collapsible stock, and lots of rails to mount optics, lights, lasers, foregrips, bipods, ect. This I believe was tested and adopted by the Navy as the Mk 14 Mod 0.

"EBR" is also used to as a reference to an "Evil Black Rifle." But I am not sure when this usage originated or where it first became popular. Primarily used to reference M4-gry with rails and such, but also used more generically.
