NEW YORK (AP) -- Two gunmen opened fire in a Brooklyn diner Saturday morning, wounding eight people before pistol-whipping a patron and fleeing with cash and jewelry, police said.

The two men had been sitting in the Galaxy Diner at about 5:15 a.m. ET Saturday when they got up and started shooting, police and witnesses said.

Seven customers and a busboy were wounded.

Melissa Boban, 23, was shot in the stomach and was hospitalized in stable condition. She had gone to the diner after a night out with friends, her mother, Irma Greo, said.

"She was just here sitting down and wanted to eat something," Greo said.

A 17-year-old was pistol-whipped and robbed of his earrings, wallet and money. Another patron was robbed of $600, he told police.

The men demanded money from the diner's cashier, but the cashier fled, police said.

Police were searching for the suspects and investigating whether the shootings were sparked by an argument at a nearby party.

Six of the eight shooting victims were not seriously wounded, police said. Four of the injured were hospitalized in stable condition.

you know

There should be a law against people doing things
like that!

Good thing no patrons had guns that could be
used against the criminals, they were only rebelling
against an unfair system were people "worked"
for money...The poor robbers were forced to
steal because their parents didn't give them
enough video games when they were young:evil:
