Eotech 512

PSA is currently having them for $350. I know the 5 series have had issues in the past but are the newer ones "fixed". Recently picked up a XPS2-0 and it's missing the thumb screw. Yep, just my luck. I have not had the chance to shoot it yet. Second optic if I don't go with this one is the Trijicon MRO. Optics planet had them for $420 plus 11% off (expired?) a few days ago.

That's the magnifier. I got excited, I'd have loved to find an MRO for under $400. The 512 for $350 sounds like a good deal though, I opted for an Aimpoint but am thinking of putting an optic on another AR and I am kind of thinking it should be a 512 or an MRO or even another PRO.

Yes the issues have been resolved, but can still occur to some degree. First was moisture, which is now handled. Second issue was thermal drift which Eotech has improved but cannot wholly eliminate. I like them, finally bought one this year.

When I got my XPS2-0 a couple of weeks ago, it was sitting out in the cold for a few hours and it was all fogged up. Thought it was fog proof? I understand with construction, all optics are going to experience some sort of thermal drift but Eotech it was a known issue. the rest is history. I really hope it is squared away if I do decide on the older 512 design. My Eotech didn't come with a thumb screw and I followed up on it, Eotech responded that in 2020, they stopped including it. It would be nice to have.

Just place the order for the 512. This was one of the original sights I had wanted and will probably go on one of my MK18 builds. I will probably get the MRO for my HD gun in the near future if I find a good deal again. If the MRO was near $350 might have gone with that instead.
