Has anyone have experience with Expansion Industries ETR7 Smokeless Pistol Powder? The availability is good according to their website, load data is slim, pricing seems to be fair for this time and availability appears to be good. With pistol powders being so hard to find would this be worth exploring? I'm just getting back into reloading after a break of quite a few years. The market has really changed. Want to try reloading 5.7x28 and can't find any Blue Dot. Will do 40 S&W and 357 Sig until can find more powder.

do not know about the powder you are talking about, but i think IMR 4227 is available. nevermind i just ordered 3 lbs of 4227 for my ar-15 in 7.62x39R but i cannot find it in stock anywhere now. guess i got lucky.

i'm no expert but they say it loads like hodgen titegroup and the load charges look close to it too, seems a bit fast for the 5.7

Welcome to the High Road. I don't know about that powder but keep us all in the loop if you get some,is it like blue dot?I got a hold of some old 473AA that is going it to most my hand gun rounds and some cat sneeze 30-30 target loads.

Cant remember for sure, but it seems I read that was actually one of the CSB powders, not sure if it was CSB-1 , or CSB-5

I looked on the company's website and found data, though it lists neither velocities nor cartridge O.A.L., which is disquieting. THEY SAY that ETR7 loads similar to Titegroup (with which I have no experience). It SEEMS to me that it burns slightly faster than Alliant Unique, but others may conclude differently.

Just ordered 2- 4 pound jugs of ETR7. $20.65 per lb to my door in PA at that quantity. Will provide feedback when i get it. Brian Enos seems to have a good bit of info on it now. We shall see.
