I'll just list em so I dont have to retype what they are. Kimber Raptor II, Bersa 380, M&P 9c, CZ 75 compact.

So Im sitting here reading stuff on the net havent bought a new gun in a long time, havent shot in a long time, I want a new gun anyways. Cant afford one right now, got to talk myself out of it. I read a few threads on the DW cbob I want a DW now, nah cant afford it. I read about corrosion and guns. Must not get the urge to buy a new gun must fight urge.

So I decide to go get the Kimber to feel it up and look to see if I had any rust since it has been awhile since it has been cleaned. Ok no rust here I like it, the me wanting a DW is fadeing away. So I go get the CZ since I shot that last with the Kimber no rust there either. Man do I like the way the CZ feels in the hand thing going on.

I decide to get the M&P to check that out, been awhile, it is clean just wanted to hold it, and man I didnt like it after holding the CZ felt different not good or bad just different. I thought I bought this thing.

So I grab the CZ and then switch to the Kimber, now the Kimber feels weird. I pick up my Bersa that feels weird.

I will say that after holding each gun a little longer the good feeling came back and I like them all again. But man I really like the way the CZ feels when I grip it.

I still want a DW but now I want another CZ to.

... if I worried about my internet reputation I'd say no.... but I'm not. Is it a yes if I currently am?

All you are doing is re familiarizing yourself with the unique and varied grip techniques appropriate to each individual sidearm. Nothing unusual there, move along citizens, nothing to see here...

Can you tell I write reports for the government? ;)

Sometimes, just before going to sleep, I unload the one near the bed (it changes with daily carry), and dryfire a bit, whiole waiting for the wife to finish in the bathroom and turn out the light. (My wife has found me asleep with a gun in my hand, probably smiling. I'm sure she'll get pictures in the future).

I read in a professional journal some people even do it three times or more a day...

Sure - that's part of the fun of being a pistol owner. The beauty and craftsmanship - i collect watches too and it's the same disease. I'll handle several a day just to enjoy the overall loveliness of them.

Get em out and hold em??
Heck I couldn't even find em.:D

It's a thing about every 6-8 months that I spend a week or two trying to find a gun that I put somewhere so I would know where it's at.

No, I don't hold them, I shoot them.:)

only when my wife leaves for a few hours
my brother shot himself in the foot with a .32 ppk about 25 years doing that....forgot it was loaded....it glazed his left foot .....he was wearing boots and being a .32 im sure slowed it down some...he only has revolvers now

I try not to be too obvious...

Will this thread made me go dig this baby out and do some fondling and dry firing tonight. Had not seen it in a while. I have to admit, like M2 Carbine, I couldn't tell you exactly where they all are at any given moment. Ok, enough chatter, time for porn:

Yeah, every now and then, I get em' out, make sure there unloaded, work the actions, look down the sights and put em' up 'til next time. I've got a Star BM I've had for the past three weeks just sitting in my computer desk drawer. I take it out every night or so, work the slide, look down the sights and just hold it, still amazed how well that gun fits in my hand. I probably should get some 9mm ammo and take it to the range here soon..
