Mine was completely random and i don't recall doing anything during the day to incite the dream.

Someone was bragging to other people that i had an AK47 (one of my biggest pet peeves). Finally i pull it out and its a stock Saiga. Everyone laughed and starting scoffing saying that it wasn't one. I didn't bother to correct them.

That was it. how random. I don't even own a Saiga or any AK platform weapons.

I have had multiple dreams where I am in a gun fight & my gun won't fire I replace the mag; tap rack no bang. The first time it happened I woke up in a cold sweat freaking out. I have had the same dream a couple of times. That is the only gun related dream I can remember.

I had one last night where i had my gun pointed on a guy that broke into my home or something, and the mag kept falling out. I ended up using a pen instead.

A couple nights ago I dreamed I was riding a unicycle down a dirt road while Samuel L. Jackson chased me with a paintball gun. Does that count?

The other night I dreamed I shot an Al-Qaeda guy off a bicycle in Venice with a Benchmade folder loaded with .32 ACP.

I'd say over half of my dreams that I still remember in the morning involve guns. Some are completely rediculous, and some are very real.

I've never had the 100lb trigger or the misfires. All my gun type dreams have me hollywood style one-shotting all badguys while performing textbook speed reloads.

I have gun dreams pretty regularly... most likely due to being a part of the television culture which has warped my mind over a lifetime of exposure to unrealistic and over-dramatized gun battles.

Once I had a dream that a bad guy was attacking me, so I shot him in the face with a very large handgun multiple times... yet he refused to die. I recall large chunks of his cranium being randomly disbursed on the walls behind him, yet he did not want to die. After unloading a seemingly endless number of rounds into his head/face, he proceeded to reach me and strangle me... then I woke up.

Yes. I dream about the guns I'm going to buy every night now (along with my wife but I wont say which is more prominent). It's so close I can physically feel them in the dreams.

I once had a dream where I was stuck inside of a video game. My objective was to clear a building of zombies. The problem was I had a really hard time moving around in the game. When I entered the building two charged me and I hesitated to attack them, they were almost on top of me until at the last minute I pulled out a pistol and shot them both in the heads. Later on while on the top floor of the building a huge scary demon type thing ran twards me up a flight of stairs while throwing dead zombies at me :uhoh:. I kept trying to shoot it but my pistol had a major malfunction right at the moment I needed it most. After it bit the **** out of me for a while I began to kick its face in until it quit moving. Then I woke up.

Definitely one of the most insane dreams I remember having, its funny though I almost never remember my dreams after I wake up.

I also had one about stabbing a women to death after she attacked my mom, but thats another story.

I've had a few with a 10,000 pound trigger pull.

I had that one multiple times. However, that was all before I took up shooting. Haven't had it at all in the past few years.

My interpretation of it was that the heavy trigger reflected my own uncertainty/fears that I could handle such a dangerous situation. Once I gained familiarity and some skill with firearms, my subconscious was assuaged, and the dream hasn't reoccurred.

Does shooting Osama in your bedroom at 2am with an 870P loaded with 000 buckshot, after your GSD/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog chews on him count?

I had that dream, true story :).

Just my .02,

Had one where my gun fell apart at the worst time. It opened up like a top
break then fell into spair parts.

I've shot someone in a dream to no avail. It has ben a loooong time since I
have had those dream IIRC.

Knives always worked though. :scrutiny:

All mine involve the more obscure guns I have and not having the right ammo. Like I am being attacked and all I have is my broomhandle and I am surrounded by .45 ACP but no .30 mauser. Or I am trying to defend myself with my old duramatic and there in 9mm Para everywhere.

I hate those dreams they always make me buy more ammo a few days later!

When my daughter was about two years old I had a dream in which she was about 8 or 9. She was playing in the front yard when a guy stopped his car at the edge of the street, jumped out, grabbed her by the arm and started dragging her to his car. At that time I walked around the corner of the house with my Winchester Model '94 in hand. He saw me, dropped her arm, she stepped back and said plain as day, "You're in deep s*** now a**h***. You've made him mad."

This one has been my favorite for almost 15 years.

I've had tons of them

most of them nightmares about malfunctions during high stress situations.

One dream, though, was pretty strange.
I was on a nyc bus and Kurt Russel was sitting across from me, he got up and shot my girlfriend with a 9mm Glock.
Then shot a few other people, he was gloating about how how no one could do anything about it as his Glock did a lock back and I pulled out a sp101 .357
and right before I shot him I woke up.

In 1966 I had a dream in which one other person and I were engaging Communists in a hotel where I worked as a busboy. I had an MP-38 (gun dreams are always in detail) and was charging up the staircase to the upper dining room when there was movement at the top. I stitched a stream up from right to left then saw it was a toddler in yellow PJs (the kind with the feet on them) and I had just put 6-8 rounds into him. It was so real I was depressed for days and felt the grief as if I had actually killed a child. The fact that I remember it after so long indicates the effects it had on me. I think it may have been a message to let me know how horrible it would be to kill an innocent and I had better never take shooting at another person lightly.

I can recall one dream where I was at some sort of outdoor bazaar or market, and for some reason had a WW2 era Thompson 1928A1 Submachinegun slung on my shoulder. I was being followed around by a pesky bunch of people who alternatly were trying to get it from my shoulder, and running away when I threatened to unsling it myself. For some reason, others in the distance did not think it unusual someone would be walking around with such a firearm ... but we all know dreams aren't "rational."

Funny that this should come up because I just had an odd dream the other night. I was with a friend and we were exploring something that was a surrealistic cross between a flea market, a carnival and an electronics shopping mall. At some point we noticed a couple guys following/shadowing us. We tried to avoid them, but my friend got captured and they wanted to extract some kind of information from him  (I've been watching '24' on DVD every night, so that explains where a lot of this came from). I got away and tried to go for help, but in evading my pursuers, I found I was in a school and realized that I had my CZ-75 as a CCW on me :uhoh: I was sure this old lady had made me because I knew that huge gun stuck out like a sore thumb, and she was watching me very intently. Anyway I got out of there without getting in any trouble, then doubled back and actually shot one of the hostage takers. This was weird in itself because guns never work right in my dreams, they always jam or are uselessly weak in some way. I can't remember if I actually freed my friend before I woke up.

A few years ago I had an awesome dream where I was fighting a knight on a platform behind a castle. It was like a scene out of Unreal Tournament. Dark, stormy, a thousand foot drop behind us, very medieval and it seemed very real. The knight was enormous, skilled and really kicking my butt, using all sorts of different weapons on me. All I had was a a huge battle sword. Somehow I barely held him off during this extended combat and he almost finished me off with a mace on a long chain, but I finally beat him with a lucky stab in the collarbone.

Just the other day: A group of people were trying to kill me and all I had was my AK and 1 round in the mag. I managed to evade them and eventually sneak up on the leader who was sitting on a horse at a distance. I leveled the sights on his back, start to squeeze the trigger and....

I woke up.

Back before I carried every day, and I was only carrying "usually," I had a dream where I went to Stop & Shop (the supermarket). I was parked in the parking garage. It was night time, and I still remember that blue/white glow from the lamps they use in those garages. As I walked out of the store to get to my car, I was walking along where the cars would drive. I noticed a man to my right, wearing baggy jeans and a black hoodie sweatshirt with the hood up. He was matching my pace and following parralel to me, about three paces back, and 30 feet to my right. I watched him carefully, so that he would know he had been busted. I also started changing diretion to the left to to distance between myself and him. Then I caught something out of the left corner of my eyes. There were two guys about 50 feet in front of me walking towards me. and then I saw one on my also about 20-25 feet away. I knew they had me surrounded and the only way i even had a chance was to stand my ground. I dropped the groceries and took up a fighting stance. I wanted to be brave and menacing looking, but I was scared sh*tless and couldn't hide it. The whole time I was thinking "Why, of all times, did I not pack my SP101 on me now, when I need it most?" I woke up as they began to charge me. I was really frightened. It made me rethink my position, and how I would deal with such a situation. I also keep a CCW on me, and readily available every single time I leave the house. The dream was so realistic that it forced me to realize how quickly I might need it, and how much I NEED to keep it on me. It also was humbling because instead of being the brave "you may take me out, but I will kill at least one of you first" kinda guy that I thought I could be, I was terrified. I don't know how it would have played out had I stayed asleep long enough for them to attack me, and perhaps I woud have pulled through. But at that point, I hadn't.
I am embarrassed, but there you have it.

Had one where I went to my favorite shop for a Garand. In real life he has a few and has known for several months that I was coming in at somepoint over the summer to get one of em. Although in the dream he doesnt have any. I woke up that morning thinking it really happened. I wasnt very happy. A couple days later, I had the some dream again, only this time he had some but I didnt buy one :scrutiny:

Anyone have one and woke up thinking it really happened. I used to have them all time when I was in school. Was usually a dream involving homework.

I had this dream a year or so ago that me and my Dad were surrounded by zombies. We were shooting M4s with Eotechs and laying waste to them. Pretty cool. For references sake, I'm thirty-seven and my Dad is seventy-two. Just goes to show, the family that shoots together has interlocking fields of fire! As a bonus, there were high speed tactical reloads as well!
