I like the idea. Will look forward to it. But I'm hoping you're gonna have really "old" prints. Then again Puckle and I were buddies back in the day.

What an idea! I have several "Handloader's Digest" and gun magazines from 'yore'. Anyone remember Herters and Lachmiller reloading presses? Those old publications are full of advertisements and features.

    Cool idea you have there.

Don't forget the back-pages with multiple listings of stupidly cheap guns and whacky ideas - if you have them. I love blowing to the back of old magazines for those.

Makes me wish I had kept some of the old Shotgun News I used to get when I had my FFL

This ad from 1965 always puts a smile on my face.

I like it! S&W's not-so-subtle slam at Ruger in the third photo is hilarious.

Yes, it is but time has proven that not a lot of people really cared.

The ads are cool and I look forward to seeing more of them.

Zahn, that add makes me want to cry.Guess it would put a smile on my face if I’d been around and bought a bunch of those back in ‘65.

I was 6 years old in 1965, and I got, I think, a 50¢ allowance every week. They might as well have been a million dollars. :)

    Edited for spelling.

I'd love to see an ad from shotgun news from *Old Sarge*.

I think he was in Natalia or Lytle, Texas back in the 80's and was selling things for and doing things to the AR platform that were quite unique at the time.

One I recall in particular was a 6mm conversion for legal hunting where the .22 rules excluded the AR.

Old Sears and Roebuck catalogs would give you a few months worth easy. :)

They make it fun to track the *store-brands* sourced from existing (contemporarily) manufacturers also.

It puts a frown on my face because I was "around" in '65 and couldn't afford even one of them at the time, let alone a bunch of them. :(

Well, there's nothing like old firearms ads to remind you of how worthless inflation has made your dollar over time...

This might become a favorite thread. Maybe even a sticky. (hint hint). Talk about some awesome history.
