I just aquired a little boot knife that is made in Japan. It's labled Explorer MM-1. It seems like high quality steel and has a nice little leather sheath. I cant find anything on the net about this company so I dont know if the little double edged dagger is worth mention. Anyone know anything about these little knives?

I remember them from the 70's-80's. Reasonably well made copies of the Geber. The blade steel should be 440C.

You wanna see people that make me look like a piker hang out at a few real knife shows. While the folks at knifeforums, bladeforums, swordforums, TUS, etc. are good, the guys that pay the money and take the time to prowl knifeshows are the ones that make me look like a kid with a cigar box full of broken bladed "treasure". It's also ten times as hard to BS standing in a group of guys like that (and twice as dangerous) as pecking on a keyboard. I find it's best to keep the ears open and the mouth shut and say "YesSir" and "NoSir" and "ThankyouSir" (and I still do a lot ;) ) when you're with them.
