Is there a very safe sunglass type (think WileyX) thats wrap around and dark for a much lower price than the WileyX with a high safety rating and is ALOT cheaper? I shoot in very sunny Texas plus the S@W protection I have is wraparound.

I wear issued ESS eye shields with Rx inserts pretty much all of the time.

We were issued UVEX in Iraq. They weren't the Genesis glasses, but very similar. I wore them all the time as sunglasses and loved them. I think the Genesis is the newer version of what we had.

There are plenty of suitable safety glasses with a Z87.1 or + rating out there to meet your requirements. Just google "safety glasses" and browse for what you like OR drop by any Home Depot or Lowes and look for yourself.

That said, I'm a fan of safety glasses with very flat earpieces or straps since they interfere with ear muff seal the least.

Hm... I just posted in the other safety glasses thread...

Anyway, I use smoked safety glasses from Northern Tool. At $3 a pair they're cheap enough to be almost disposable. While I haven't done any formal (or informal) testing, I've found them to be pretty durable.

Well, there's these for $10 from Lowes. My LGS has the same ones for $7.75. Can't believe they're actually cheaper than someone else. They're even polarized. Loads of safety glasses at Northern Tool.

One thing most people don't think about is that the ear pieces cause a gap in the pad of ear muffs so you need to pick Z87 glasses that don't interfere with the ear muff seal.

Remember to always wear your eyes! You don't know how many times my glasses have safely defected brass away from my eyes.
