Well it's about time. They might actually sell some mini 30s now. If only they could make a reproduction of the Mini14/GB-F with the folding stock, they would make a few sales.
Let's hope that If these (now only sold with new Mini 30s) are not manufactured by Ruger, then at least they might be Promags.
How do we know that Ruger built them?
After the election was the first time when Ruger ever sold their larger Mini 14 magazines (20-rd.) to the public.
Lots of confusion is created at "Perfectunion" by people referring to magazines without ever stating which Mini rifle (14 versus 30 versus 6.8) is being discussed.
Many Gunbroker sellers have used the words "factory mag" for aftermarket mags (legally correct), most of which are unreliable or simply don't feed at all.
I called ruger about 3 weeks ago and talked to a rep. with the company, and ask the question about 20 roundmags for mini 30s his reply was yes . look for them some time soon between nov and the first of next year.
Thanks riflenut.
If they are designed and built by Ruger, at reasonable prices, let's hope that they won't be so difficult to find as primers in a Bass Pro Shop.
Judging by the way the lettering looks on the side of the mag in the picture, it looks to be dead on similar to the lettering on the side of the 20 round mini 14 mags from ruger.
I primarily use my Mini-30 for antelope and small deer and will be very tempted to rid myself of my 14's altogether when they begin selling these...especially with the fact that 7.62x39 is cheaper to shoot than .223
