I just wanted to share some of the "original production" scoped SKS rifles I have. First one is a Yugo SKS DMR. This rifle was originally imported with a PU-style base but reversed from your standard Russian. Have never been able to find another one like it so I assume its some sort of ON-2 prototype or ON-52 SKS base. Contrary to popular belief, Local Yugo Arsenals did scope some SKSs, mostly with ON-2 scopes cammed in 7.62x39 to fufill the spotter role on their m76 sniper teams. estimates say there were around 200 ever made and most were destroyed in their civil war. I took a regular PU base and modified it to fit this yugo one then used a commercial Russian PU type scope till i get my hands on an ON-52 scope. The 2nd is a late 80s Kengs/Polytech import with a BZM-1 Illuminated Scope and mount. I dont really know what to make of this one but im leaning to it being an original thing because the stock appears to have been factory cut, and the mounting rail is riveted on in the same fashion that a lot of the Polytech AKs that had scope mounts on their sides were. However, scoped SKS imports didnt really start showing up in catalogues till the Early 90s with Navy Arms selling most of them.
