A friend of mine needs some .22 mag. ammo. I have some dynapoints that I told him I would sell for $8. per box of 50.

Is that a fair price?

Last time I bought some .22WMR Winchester white box, 50 rounds, it was $7.99. This was a few years ago, pre panic, in the middle of 0bama's 1st term.

Not sure what it is selling for now, since I don't have a .22 magnum, but based on past experience, I'd say $8 is fair.

$8.00 for a box of Dynapoints is a steal in today's world but if he is indeed a friend then I wouldn't feel hurt by the price. Always good to help a friend out and hope that they pay it forward.

Dynapoint run about $10 now (maybe $9 last time I bought some at Walmart?). 22 WMR ammo will run between $10 > $15/box.

Why not just lend him the ammo and let him replace it if he comes across some at a later date?

I like the lending approach. If you sell, remember you probably paid sales tax which in my case would add about $1.00/box. ...just thinking about parity....
