I recently acquired a glock 26 and I really want a mossberg 12ga or an ak 47. I was wondering which firearms out there would be a fair trade for my glock 17? I know I might have to ask for some $ on top of the trade on their part , but I just need some ideas.
Thanks guys for any replies.

Ive seen 17 going for 400-475 realisticly usually most aks will be a fair straight trade now the mosberg goes from 130 and up MY ADVICE KEEP THE 17 AND 26 JUST BUY A CHEAP 12 GAUGE

You can get a mossberg shotgun for around $200.00 new.Keep the G17.I try to always trade up for a better firearm, never trade down.

Just about any AK would be a good trade for a G17...and possible. Many AK owners purchased when they were cheap and plentiful, so might be willing to do a straight trade for your Glock.

Yep, and a LOT less used. Not sure why, but shotguns are FAR more common in pawn shops around here than anything else. You can easily get ahold of a servicable pump shotgun (Mossberg or something equally as good) for $125.

Probably about an even swap for the AK, but I wouldn't bother with the logistics of a trade for the shotgun.

You can get a brand new in the box Maverick 88 for about $150 on an average day. Lower end AK's start at about $350-$400, but depending on your needs, you might not be thrilled with a bottom barrel AK, which is about all you are going to get in a trade for a Glock 17.

Although, you could possibly trade for an unconverted Saiga. Since you've got the G26, if I were you I'd try to trade the G17 for an unconverted Saiga, and buy an inexpensive 12 gauge pump like the Mav88, then you've got all your bases covered.

AGREED! Fair value for G17 Gen 3 is $425-475. Any less than that & you're giving money away. Used Mossy shotguns (Nice 500 series) ~$200-275. AKs are tougher to call because their are GOOD ones ~$500-600, and there is trash ~$275. Keep the G17 (you'll wish you had).
