Favorite .45

M&P 45 compact for me.

It's kind of weird saying it...but XD .45 Service. I've owned 2 of these and I have no idea why I shot them so well. It's definitely not my favorite .45 but it's my favorite with the barrel length requirement. I put 10,000 rounds of dirty reloads through one and barely cleaned it at all. They are both gone but maybe I'll get another one some day. They shot unusually well for me for some reason.

My favorite is my Ruger Alaskan in .454 Casull. A ton of bark and bite. Although not what most think of as a "45".

RussB, I don't tend to like duo tone guns, but that 1991a1 looks really nice!

Simple.

S&W 625 3 inch .45 ACP.

Shoots .45 ACPs into a ragged hole at 10 yards. And shoots .45 Supers! Yep 230 gr. JHP at 1000 fps (I choroned them myself.)

I agree, 3" S&W 625 is my favorite .45 ever made.



The only thing that would improve mine is a nice set of compact wood grips. (Which I plan to do very soon.)

SIG 220 Cary DAK Is the only short barreled .45 I have. Lately it has become my go to carry gun mainly because the thought of losing my custom 1911 to a evidence locker is enough to keep me up at night. That and the fact that I cary a 229 DAK for a work gun makes the manipulation drills easier to perform under stress.

It would be my Colt enhanced Officers .45 ACP. in S/S. I got one of the first ones. It was my 1st 1911. I was hooked !!

I have many .45s but since I sold my XD Compact, I don't have one with less than a 4.25" barrel. In fact two of them are 20+" barrels. Haha. You've got to love a good .45.
