Of all the handguns you've owned or shot, what has been your favorite? Or, is it too hard to tell?

In my short years of shooting, I've shot the a Charles Daly 4" .45 (my first handgun), a Hi-Point .45, a Ruger P89 9mm, a S&W M28 4" .357, a M57 6" .41 Magnum, an M25-5 6" in .45 Colt, and of course my CZ-97.

I probably had the biggest grin on my face when I was shooting my .41 Mag yesteday. It's so much fun. But I couldn't choose between my children....

Wow Nightcrawler- What A Can Of Worm's!:uhoh:

Most folk's know these fact's:

a) my favorite self-loader is the .45 caliber SIG-Sauer P220A

and

my favorite revolver is the Smith & Wesson 'Highway Patrolman" .357 magnum

The rest is pretty easy to figure out. Cuz I also like the
SIG-Sauer P228 and Smith & Wesson models 629-5 .44
magnum with a 5" barrel; and a 686-5 .357 magnum with
a 6" barrel.:)

Best Wishes,

My all time faves do far are similar to Mr. Ala Dan's choice.....
the P220 in all of it's variants...right now my fave is the P220ST.

A close second is the P226.

My current favorite for the range is my S&W Performance Center 952-1 9mm.

Rich

Favorite pistol right now is my carry pistol, SIg P239 9mm.
Followed closely by my P220 .45

My favorite revolver is my S&W 686 .357
Followed closely by my Ruger Single Six .32 mag.

Nina. Twotone, accurate as heck, sweeeeeeeeeeet trigger, carbon fiber grips, cheap to shoot, what else can I ask for?

I've given up trying to find a favorite because several of my guns are so close. Those that are on my favorite list:
-CZ 75B
-Charles Daly 1911 (really any 1911, it is just that I own the CD)
-S&W 65LS
-S&W 19
-S&W 586

Those guns alternate, sometimes one is on top, sometimes another. They are all so close that I really can't say for sure which I prefer.

If you want to do a "if you can only have one" deal I'd go w/ the 65LS due to versatility (though w/ more use it is possible the 4" 19 may win since 4" isn't that much harder to CCW than a 3", when a possibility which it isn't here anyway, and it gives a little more sight radius and a little more velocity).

Favorite DA wheel, Lew Horton 686 2 1/2" barrel.
A true 50 yard snubby.
Favorite auto, H&K usp compact in .45 acp.
Concealable 50 yard pistol.
Favorite SA wheel, Toss-up between .41 mag blackhawk, and .45 colt bird'shead sheriff's model vaquero (Gary Reeder-ized.).
70 yard groups with the blackhawk, the bird'shead isn't a target gun, it's a point-and-shoot sorta thing.
You have no idea how hard it was to pick 4 favorites out of my collection, much less one.

If there was a fire, and I could only save one, I guess it would be the Lew Horton special, I could still buy the others but the snubby is no longer being made to that level of craftsmanship.

Smallbore-- Smith & Wesson model 41
Medium size-- Browning High Power
Medium to Big-- Colt Gold Cup
Hand Cannon-- Desert Eagle

Probably the personal faves out of my collection would be (in no particular order) my P7M8, my G29, my Springfield Pro, my PC13 and my 5" 625-4.

It'd probably be different if I listed them tomorrow. ;)

With the coming of spring this old man's fancy turned towards a 4" Model 29 Mountain Gun in .44 mag. :D Too much fun...I need more rifle practice than this revolver is leaving me time for.

All of them,lew horton 24-3 3" smith 625-6 4",65-3 3",28-2 4"
15-3 2",60-15 3" 357 and ruger
security 6 2.75".My wifes are ruger Mk II 5.5",buckmark 4" and a strange advantage arms 4 shot 22lr derringer that looks like the old mossberg brownie.
