Summer carry - Shield
Winter carry - G26
Range - RIA 1911 9mm Tactical, closely followed by CZ 75B and G34
Hideout in workshop - Sig SP2022 w/night sights and TLR1
This is easy. I'm down to one 9mm and intend to keep it that way...HK P30 V1 LEM. Actually have two of them, one configured for my wife. It was a long and winding road that got me there.
Absolutely my "T" model 1969 vintage (I'm the original owner) Belgium Browning Hi-Power. Several years back I had Novak F&R sights installed and a couple of years after that Novak did their "Reliability Package" on it. Novak has it right now doing a trigger job and installing their tool steel hammer kit . The original hammer and sear were a mite worn.
I seldom get excited about guns, but I am really looking forward to getting this one back to the range.
I would have to say that my favorite is the S&W M6906, because it's the one that I carry almost every day. For me, it's the best compromise of size, reliability, magazine capacity and accuracy - yes, plenty accurate enough for me out to typical defensive distances - for everyday CCW use. My H&K P7 is more accurate at long range distances - I can consistently ping a 2 foot metal plate with it out to 150 yards, once I have the holdover figured out - but I don't need that kind of accuracy on a daily basis, and I think they have just gotten too expensive/valuable for every day CCW carry, so it tends to stay in the safe.
S&W 6906 constant carry. HiPoint C9 and S&W 5906 are my shooters. My 6906s are carried according to dress. finger gruve grips are carried when wearing a coat. Stock factory grips are carried when wearing shirts outside or sweaters These carry methods have worked great for me for 45 yrs. And fit my 6'6" 245 lb frame very well.
+1 for P7M8!!!
P2000SK chambered in 9mm (LEM) is definitely not as accurate but great carry gun. Also have a S&W639 which is a great plinker with it's heavier construction.
The 26 is so very accurate! Bit small for my hand, but my Wife shoots them well.
My favorite, bar none, Glock 19 Gen4, TruGlo fiber optic sights, extended, factory slide release.
My advise to you, with respect, carry a Glock 19 spare magazine! More for malfunction reasons (Even tho I have never had one with a Glock 26!) an extra 15 rounds is not too shabby either!
