Favorite 9 MMs

M & P Full Size . Taurus PT 111 G2 for concealed carry. Both digest anything I feed them flawlessly.

My all time favorite in a full size gun would br my Browning Hi-Power with my Berretta M-9 a very close second. If you are talking about small concealed carry guns, my absolute favorite is my Sig P938

I only own 2 9mm semi-auto pistols, both Berettas.

I am very fond of the 92FS. It fits my moderately large hands well, has been ultra-reliable, and looks great.

I also enjoy shooting my Beretta 8000D mini-Cougar. Once you master the long (but smooth) double action only trigger pull it shoots remarkably well.

I have never owned, but have shot a few Browning Hi-Powers. Certainly a pistol with a classic history and classically beautiful appearance. Shoots nicely too but I hate the magazine disconnect safety. After doing a little polishing on my Beretta 92 FS and swapping the mainspring, it has a better SA trigger than the BHPs I have shot.

I have fondled Sig P226s and CZ75Bs but not had the chance to shoot one. The CZ75 especially feels and balances great in the hand and I would love to have the chance to shoot one.

Recently shot a Sig P320 which I thought was outstanding. Also shot an HK VP9 which was nice, but I must say I was not smitten by it.

I have 3 BHP: 1964,1974,1984 production completely by coincidence- have probably 3000 rounds through them as a group and have never had a malf. of any sort. Also have 3 m92s and 5 sigs but the Hi-Powers just feel right in a way no other pistol does- John B's crowning creation in a lifetime of genius.

My favorite to go bang no matter what, CZ 75.

My absolute favorite to shoot hands down, SW1911 pro series.

The ones in the vault that I'd rely on if needed:
1. H&K P7M13 - a good side block of steel milled in to a faultless weapon
2. H&K P30 - the easiest holding, most reliable 9x19 I've seen
3 H&K USP 45 Compact - because if things get challenging, the 1911's should stay in the vault
3. S&W 629 V-Comp 4" barrel 6 shot with compensator. Looks like John Moses Browning did a joint project with R2D2. Excellent balance and handling. Soft shooting even with a big mag round.

As of yesterday I have a new favorite.... CZ 75B

It takes the title away from my CZ p-09.

My full size Kimber Custom Aegis II with 5" barrel and wilson mags stoked with federal 147 +P HST. I also love and use ammo from underwood loaded with speer bonded gold dots. With underwoods 115 +P+ gold dots I get 1470 fps!!! That = 551.94 ft/lbs of muzzle energy!!! Recoil is very light. I will be buried with this gun. It's not for sale ever.

I know this answer sounds generic, Glock 17 and Beretta 92fs. Yep those are my favorite 9mm handguns. I like them equally, but if SHTF the Glock would be coming with me.

Short list:
1. Springfield Loaded 1911 chambered in 9mm.
2. Sig 226 Mk25
3. Glock 34

To be honest, I only own one 9mm and I have very limited experience with the caliber. I've shot maybe, MAYBE, three or four 9mm handguns. So I guess the title of "my favorite" 9mm has to go to the only one I own -- a Gen 4 Glock 19 named Gretchen.

I'm partial to the Hi Power. If we're talking about recent offerings, the Springfield XD has my attention. I've enjoyed one extensively. Thinking about buying one someday. Maybe.

Favorite 9mm handgun,
Mine is a East German PM chambered in 9x18 Makarov, it's actually 9.2mm hope it still counts.
