Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.
I found some powder today locally and wasn't sure which one was best. Both are the same price at $35/lb. my choices are:
HP-38 or Winchester Super Field.
Which one would you guys recommend for a 128gr lead bullet?

If you can get the HP38 I would go with that. You can check load data here for HP38. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol Winchester Super Field isn't listed but 231 and auto comp are listed.

Perhaps, but OP said the only two available are HP-38 and WSF.

Either one will work but my preference has been WSF for 9mm. I find that it's not near as snappy. I mainly shoot 4.8gr WSF for 124gr RN. Both powders will meter very well being ball powder.

Ummmm.....well...same powder!
HP-38/W231 is cleaner IMO. WSF does get cleaner when fully charged, but still not as clean. I would go with the HP-38 as well.

Congrats on the 231. It's about as rare as an honest politician these days.
I've loaded with Titegroup, Bullseye and 700X. Titegroup and Bullseye work the best for me, but I discovered one or the other is pretty dirty when I plunk tested some new handloads tonight. It's still a good powder though.

May be the BE. BE leaves my cases sooty as all get out, thats for sure.

JCs got a pretty good bit of IMR 4895, TrailBoss, ImR 3031, and 4064 in..Also some others that I dont really know much about, but he had a better supply than Ive seen him have in a while..

What is available .. I found some blue dot and it works great same with Unique . Bullseye I almost out of >>I need to make a list from my reloading books and go to the next gun show . Some of the powders are dirtier and that is no big real .

Thanks. Just went in there today with an empty wallet. Almost threw that 9oz bottle Trailboss on the credit card, and I like to get an lb of 4064 when I can, but had to refrain today.
4064 in a 9mm. Really. How much in a plated 115 GN?

You're right Otto, W231 is much better than HP38.
And W296 is much better than H110.
And W760 is much better than H414.
I think it must be the 'W' that makes them so good.
