Open question here - just looking for a good conversation and discussion.
Do you have a certain bullet you cast that is somehow *just right*? If so, let us know the bullet and the mold.
For me, it's the Lyman 429421 for the 44. I have two of them (a double and a single cavity), and load up hardball (92-2-6) for my 44 Special and 44 Mag. Both molds drop perfect bullets, sometimes from the first pour - there's something magic about the mold and the bullet. Loaded up with Skeeter Skelton's recipe (7.5gr Unique - safe for my 44 Spl Blackhawk and 44 Mag Super Blackhawk, but use at your own risk and discretion) in 44 Spl brass, it's a "do everything" round that shoots like a laser, hits with authority, and doesn't cause aches and pains in my wrist.
So, what do you have that is your "Goldilocks bullet"?
