Favorite Gun Scene Ever

Every gun fight/gun scene in Silverado is awsome. I especially like:

1) When Kostner backs out of the bar, whistles, then shoots two BGs at once - one on his right and one on his left.

2) When Kline shoots Glover's rifle (with a revolver) from about a gazillion yards away - just to get his attention and point at the BG sneaking up on him.

I'd have to get huge props to Costner in 'Open Range'

"You the man that killed my friend?"
"Thats right, the boy to, and I enjoyed it."
Than Costner shoot shim in the forehead.

The other part would be when the bad guy has the woman hostage with the pistol to her, Costner walks up to him and shots him in the chest. Then shoots him again when he lets go of her.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the famous "Don't bring a sword to a gun fight" scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark

Not sure if it was mentioned yet or not, but supposedly that was improvised. There was originally a sword fighting scene planned for that, but Ford didn't feel like it the day of the shoot, so he improvised and just "shot" the guy.

Tremors 4

There is also "Tremors 4: The legend begins". It is a prequel to the other three and is set back in the old west when the graboids first appeard. Michael Gross (Burt) plays in it as well. It has some pretty funny/cool gun scenes in it ,but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

The tremors scenes are my favorite. I like the scene when they all have to make a run to the rocks ,but the boy is scared to run so Burt hands him a revolver. Then about halfway there the boy goes to shoot at a graboid but the revolver isn't loaded. They get to the rocks and he says "Dammit Burt this thing isn't even loaded". Burt replies "It got you movin didn't it".

The line from the rec room scene is now my signature:D.

Shoot 'Em Up was ...okay... until the end scene when he fires bullets by placing them in his crippled fingers and holding it in the fire.

The entire movie was ridiculous and over-the-top, but okay... until that scene.

Clint Eastwood, started the gun crazed shootouts, from his spagetti westerns, to "dirty Harry", come on now.Often copied never duplicated. Heat was great though.

unfortunately, Michael Gross who played Burt in Tremors, seems to be an anti from the special features interviews I saw on the DVDs.

I could be looking too far into what he said. Nonetheless, Burt (the character) is awesome.

My mistake about the Walmart 3 pack, it's a 4 pack, I just checked. Has them all.

Another one in the Zulu camp.

For comedy its Issic Hayes in "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka". Loads up his trench coat with an assortment of weapons and ammo and then slips on a loose cartridge. Becomes a human fireworks show.

My vote is towards the end of The Kingdom, when the convoy was attacked and began the car chase; then street battle.

Not that its my favorite, but most recent was the last few minutes of the new Rambo when he's on the .50. I don't care if it was unrealistic or that belt of ammo lasted ten minutes. All I know is I sat there with my jaw dropped and my eyes bugged out.

I can hardly believe it ... four pages of posts, and nobody has mentioned the final showdown in Pale Rider. Clint Eastwood's "Preacher" character against the evil marshal and six deputies. Preacher stalks the deputies and takes them out one by one, then takes out the marshal in a classic draw-down.

Quigley and the rec room scene from Tremors are sort of tied for second place.

Most of the gunfight scenes in Unforgiven (1992)

Private Ryan during the scene with the German half track.

The Getaway the original, the fight in the hotel with Steve McQueen with a 1911 and BG with a gauge.

BEST GUN FIGHT SCENE- Kevin Costner in 10000 miles to graceland quickdrawing his Colt 45 against the cop with the single action 45.

BEST MOVIE WITH GUN FIGHTS - the quick and the dead with sharon stone to boot.

RUNNER UP- SIN CITY, A LOT OF BLOOD GUTS AND ALL TYPES OF GUNS.

All of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly should count. What an astoundingly beautiful film...

The Getaway the original, the fight in the hotel with Steve McQueen with a 1911 and BG with a gauge.
Steve McQueen had an M1911 AND a 12ga. High Standard pump with the long magazine. One of the bad guys had an S&W Model 76 submachinegun.

His nemesis "Rudy" had a 6" Python.

Sally Strothers - "Rudy! Have you seen Rudy...?"
Texas Gunman - "No, I haven't seen Rudy, you dumb broad!"

One of my favorite movies.

History's last great full-tilt calvary charge featured in the obscure but fantastic movie "The Lighthorsemen."
Hardly the last.

The Philippine Scouts charged the Japanese at least once to great effect in 1942.

There were Cossack cavalry units on both sides in WWII, not to mention regular German and Soviet cavalry.
