Beretta 92 (Inox) with my Ram-Line 18 round mags ... CZ-75 #2. Favorite semi-auto pistol, period: Colt's 1911A1 (Series 70).

Hi-caps

Seven shot 3" 686 and ten shot 4" 617. No jams, regardless of ammo.

Or a CZ 75B - nice ergonomics and trigger.

Well, currently I have a USP-45F, USP-40C, Glock 21, 23, 19, CZ-75, Sig P226, Beretta 92FS and a Browning Hi-Power. Out of all of them, I'd say my USP-45F is my favorite. :)

I second the USP .45 and I can't believe the thread got this far before it became mentioned.

Come on people!! 12 rounds of .45 in an uber-reliable and very accurate system with cock and lock capabilities.

Not to mention you can shoot anything in it, including .45 Super. (Except for lead bulls....big deal.)

There are many good high capacity pistols on the market.

The hi-cap sidearms I respect a lot are (in no particular order):
SIG-Sauer P228/226 (best DA autos, IMO)
FN Browning Hi-Power 9 mm (the Classic)
Walther P88 Compact (great but underrated pistol)
S&W M5906 Performance Center (pricey but good),
Bruenner CZ M75 (the old one w/spur hammer);

The one I choose for myself: Glock 17!
:eek:

BHP--a 9mm with class, if not momentum. Academic, tho, because I like power combined with stone reliability. That comes out to a 1911 or a DA .357.

And those second to the appropriate long gun, given the opportunity.

I bought a Para Ordnance P-16 Limited when they first came out and it shot good. Later on I bought an extra barrel and had it reamed out to 10mm... BINGO..it shoots great. I really like this pistol...and its fits my hands just right.
