Yeah, I know the .380 is a s--- caliber for self defense, but some people like them for concealed carry/plinking. Please save the caliber trashing for another thread.
On to the real question:
What is your favorite .380 pistol for concealed carry and/or plinking, and why?

If you don't see your favorite listed/please, vote "other" and tell us why it should have been included.
Thanks,

David

Wow, I get to be first vote and the first to point out your GLARING oversight of the ENTIRE line of Colt .380 pistols:

Colt Pony Pocketlite, Colt Mustang, Colt Mustang Plus II, Colt Government .380.....Did I miss any?

They're my favorites, and should be on the list, because, well, THEY'RE COLTS!

And - where is Bersa Thunder - eh!?? :p

I all but chose mak - but am being pedantic because 9 x 18 ain't 9 x 17!! For a true .380 my vote goes to Bersa tho of course it is not the smallest but for shooting - nice!!

Giving the Mak an inclusion tho - yep - also dead reliable and enjoyable.

And - where is Bersa Thunder - eh!??
Ah, um, Fifth from the top?
Er, Fifth from the bottom?
Maybe, dead in the middle?

Or in other words: RIGHT FREAKING ABOVE THE MAKAROV CHOICE YOU SELECTED.

Ahem

:neener:

P3AT. I have other .380s but why lug the extra weight for a minimal cartridge? It is not even cheap to shoot as a 9mm. For the extra weight of some you list I can pack my P40 Kahr with a shortened grip and mag...

Colt .380

Although I Only Own One Now, I've Fired Several And Prefer Any Or All Of The Colt Single Actions To Any Other.(.380 Govt, mustang, mustang Plus II)the Ponys Are Nice But The Crisp Single Action Is Better.

Two oldies, but then as a certified Geezer-in-Training they would be :D

The Remington M-51. Slim, slick, accurate and steller ergos. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

The Bernardelli M-60. Very high order fit and finish, all steel, well-balanced and way more accurate than it should've been. Ate Super-Vel HPs without a hiccough OTB, and cost all of $69.95 NIB at K-Mart. Heavy sigh.

Gotta go with the Makarov, because that's the .380 I have the most experience with. Not the smallest, nor the lightest, but dead reliable and accurate.

Wish I could try a Colt, though. I've always loved the look of the Colt .380s. Classy little guns.

Colt Government model stainless.

FEG PA-63/AP-9 sturdy eastern bloc pistol with zero jams thus far, though 'big' for a .380.

Llama .380 manufactured in 1972. Light weight 25oz and still shoots to point of aim after 33 years.

I chose NAA Guardian because of its size and weight, and because it's what I have (because of its size and weight). The small size is a plus, and the all-steel weight is also good for recoil and control. When I carry a .380, I carry it because I can't conceal anything larger. When I can conceal a larger pistol, I carry a larger caliber, so I have no use for larger .380's.

I like the Colt and Llama 1911 pattern 380 single actions. Also the Mauser HSC is a very nice looking handgun but I don't own one yet. I have heard the rarely seen HK P7K3 in 380acp is a superb handgun also.

Gunshop told me they didn't sell as people weren't willing to pay $1000 for a 380acp handgun.

And how about the older Colt 380s's what are they called the 1908's?

Colt Mustang Pocketlite!

Colt Goverment 380

Gotta give them their due. Everyone who'se shot my Government Model, and my SIG tend to agree the Colt is definately a better shooter. Steel construction helps, not that 9mm kurtz is gonna beat you about the head and shoulders, but it is more pleasant and accurate than the alloy of the P-230.
