I love my wifes P230. It is comfortable to shoot and gives more percieved recoil than some of my pistols due to its blow back design and small size. :D

I voted Kel-Tec P3AT because for CCW I have 9mm (or bigger) )that are the same size/weight as the rest. Not a good gun for plinking. For this I'd choose the CZ83, but since the cheapest .380 is at least $1 a box more than the cheapest 9mm ammo, .380 is not a great choice for plinking either.

The P3AT is so light and thin it really helps solve the first rule: "have a gun" and .380 is a good bit better than .32 or .25.

Firestorm

I picked up a Firestorm/Bersa duo tone for my wife after trying "several" :banghead: other pistols for her to carry. She loves this gun and thats good enough for me. It broke in well after 400 rounds. She carries it daily.

I have a Colt Government .380 Pocketlite, a Walther PPK, but my favorite is my Browning BDA .380!!

I realy don't know how to define "Favorite."

I mean, I voted OTHER, in honor of my ongoing affection for the Colt Pocket Model of 1908 (sorry, Brian Williams - - The 1903 was the .32 ACP.) But I seldom carry my Colt, and frequently have my KT P3AT in my pocket.

I still have the Walther PPK .380 I bought new-in-the-box back in 1966. For several years it was my Always Gun, packed in a homemade ankle holster, but I phased it out during the late '70s, in favor of an Airweight Chief's Special. The old Colt still serves as my computer desk gun, but I almost never carry it on my person. Shame, too, because it is VERY accurate, but it is large and heavy for its power.

Best,
Johnny

Colt Govt. 380

Single action trigger is closer to the 1911 trigger I'm accustomed to. Locked breech, so there is significantly less recoil than my Sig P230, my PPK/s or my PPK. The first time I fired one, I thought I had a squib, there was so little recoil.

Post-WW II manufacture Beretta 1934. Horrible, stiff and gritty SA trigger, but can be carried cocked'n'locked ... accurate as hell, miniscule sights, funky forward hook on mag bottom ... but beautiful polished blue finish and put together like a Swiss watch. Why is it my favorite? Passed down from father in law ...

CZ-83, its ergonomic design, reliability and accuracy make it fun to shoot.

I voted for the SIG. I have a P230 stainless and I love it. It is an accurate shooter and comfortable to carry. SIG quality and workmanship is top notch too!

Remington Model 51: Locked breech= lower recoil. 5/8" slim, made of real machined parts 21oz. . Mine is 3" at 25yards accurate even with the tiny sights, which are characteristically right on!

The Old Model LLama and the Star S. They were locked breech guns, deal handloads better (and hotter) and that Santa Barbara stuff. Slim and they handle like an 1911 safty same etc. They will respond to the same tweaks as a1911 too.

I couldn't vote because I have never owned the gun that I would have voted for. I think the SIG 230/232 is the nicest .380 out there but not having actually owned one, I couldn't say for sure.

Out of the .380s that I have owned, the Bersas are very nice despite their low price. I think the Bersa is falt out better than the Mak and the Walther and I have owned those as well.
