Favorite Leupold scope for an evil black rifle?

I own several black rifles, but none have expressed a penchant for evil to me.

Try MSR (modern sporting rifle). That other slur that you keep using was dreamed up by the same pricks that banned AR-15s by name. They would much rather you call it that name rather than the AR-15 that it really is simply because you're spreading their propaganda for them.

I have a Mk AR 1-4x and I really like it. Not as good as the Mk 4 1-5x but its less than half the price. You should look at the Mk AR line. They are built to the same toughness/strength standards as the Mk 4 line but use lower quality glass and have no illumination. Glass is still good though.

I agree with the Leupold Mark AR recommendation.

My Mini-14 (Davidson's "Deluxe" version) wears the Mark AR 1-4X. It performs very well.

My Armalite "M15" has the Mark AR in 3-9X. This scope has the trajectory-compensating feature, and the turret is made for "55 grains/3100 fps". It happens that my handloaded rounds fire a 55-grain bullet at the average speed of 3097fps....pretty close, I'd say.

With the rifle zeroed at 200 yards and the turret scale set to read "2", setting it at "4" yields dead-center impacts at 400 yards---just as advertised.

Optics on both scopes are fine, adjustments are accurate, and general performance is worthy of the brand name (I have about a dozen other Leupolds, so I suppose I'm a satisfied customer.)

I would also take a look at the Nikon M-223 which is also set up for the 55 gr. ammo. My son has one on his AR and it works great... Midway right now has the 1-4x for $259 on sale from $309.....

I like a 4 power compact for my A-2, the 3X9 is just a little large unless the AR is a flat-top.

If you want a compact little scope, try out the Weaver V3. It's really compact and they're cheap too.
