.45ACP - Nice 1911
.40S&W - CZ P01
9mm - CZ 75B
9mm - Browning Hi Power

Until you shoot these, don't discount them. They are the best shooting, IMO.

I have a pair of Ruger .357s (GP100 4" and a Blackhawk convertible) that I shot a good bit until I got my Ruger Bisley .45 Colt. With cowboy loads, it's a total pop-gun and a real tack driver.

I enjoy shooting both my M&P and SR9. The M&P has a better trigger and shoots tighter groups though the SR9 points more naturally and is plenty adequate in the accuracy department.

My 1911 is, well, a 1911. Points naturally, quite accurate and puts big holes in things.

I have a pair of Kahrs, CW9 and P45, that are meant for carry but get shot relatively often because they are carry guns. Both are small, but neither is unpleasant. Both are also plenty accurate.

Overall though, hard to go wrong with a Ruger .22 pistol. Mine is a 22/45 MkIII with a heavy barrel. I've ran a lot of ammo through it. Unfortunately it doesn't particularly like the bulk ammo. Stuff that runs reliably is comparatively expensive. I deal with the stoppages just to increase cheap trigger time.

I'd have to say the Mod 19-4, both 38 and 357 loads, the 22/32 circa 1954 and lastly the 629 mountain gun for the challenge.

My favorite pistols to shoot for fun are:

Ruger Mark III (22lr)
Smith&Wesson Model 65 (loaded with 38 special)

Revolver: Ruger Blackhawk Flattop .44 Special
Pistol: Can't decide between my Glock 21 (45 acp) and Glock 23 (40 SW):D

Am I buying the ammo? My favorite would have to be my AMT Hardballer, which was rebuilt to be a dedicated host for a rimfire conversion. A day of shooting for $20...

i have shot just about everything on the market in the last 2 yrs. i work gun shows and i get the chance to play with them all.

i carry a glock 23 and shoot it weekly
i also have a taurus tracker in 357mag. ported 4in barrel. the most accurate revolver i've ever owned.

i bet i've shot 300 different pistols in a year.

The 10-shot S&W 617 is at the top of the FUN heap, with the little Beretta 21a close behind.

Semi auto has to be the 1911A1, preferably lightly customized to fit me and my shooting style (good sights, medium to long trigger, flat MSH and a Commander hammer to avoid hammer bite).

Double action revolver would be a S&W 44 Special, preferably a 5-screw N-frame. I have one that's been cut down to 4" and it is a fine revolver, however I have always thought the 5" barrel was the best balanced on the N-frame.

Lately I've really been shooting my Ruger Security Six 4" and S&W Mod. 14 4". The Ruger is the more accurate. Or I should say, I'm more accurate with the Ruger.

I've been having a lot of fun with my Glock 26 as well. But I gotta admit, the most fun I have with any of my autoloads is with the old CZ 75 B 9mm.

hi standard 9 shot rev and hi standard model b, the rev was my first hand gun 38 years ago and have shot 10k or more rds thru it.

I'd say the funnest pistol I've shot was a S&W K-frame .357 magnum. I prefer an auto (like the SIG P220) for "business" tasks, but for simple shooting pleasure it's hard to beat a good revolver.

colt 1911 , feels like an extension of my body!

I love shooting my model 66

and my Marlin 45-70 , yes it has a rough recoil , but when it hits , its like heaven!
