I buy most of my guns from pawn shops. I have made some spectacular purchases over the years from them. I buy through the local paper, a few (2)at gunshows, and have now purchased one online. What are your favorite haunts. And for what reasons. I buy slot from pawn shops for a few reasons. 1. they have good prices and there is usually room fr negotiation. 2. I get to touch it before I buy. 3. The variety of weapons makes it a fun afternoon. No I won't tell you which shops I frequent. There is enough competition already. :)

1. pawn shop,
2. Bass Pro,
3. on-line,
4. local gun shop,
5. Onsite auctions.

I shop the pawns all the time, although only one of my 10 guns came from one. I've bought a lot of other stuff at pawn shops.

Local gunshop, BassPro, and I used to buy from Sportsman's Warehouse, but they went out of business here locally.
A few private sales, which I prefer.
I haven't seen anything good enough for a good enough price in the pawn shops around here. But I do peruse the shops.

My shops

While I do not buy more than 4-6 guns a year, most come from pawn shops. I seldom purchase new guns.

Buying from indiviudals would be my second choice.

In the last 45 years, I may have bought 10 guns new. The rest were all previously owned firearms and 99% of those are either in my safe, filing cabinet, gun cabinet, desk drawers or other such places drawing dust.

I just love buying firearms when I can find something I really like, no matter what the selling source may be.

I bought one at a pawn shop and a few at gun shows, but now I buy exclusively from GunBroker.com - and I only buy new guns to avoid any surprises.
